"Navia it's almost 9!" Was i incapable of being on time for anything? The party started at 10, but we were meant to meet Soleil and Aria at their dorm by 9:30- and i was nowhere near ready. At least Savannah was courteous enough to show up to my apartment a whole hour early. Clothes were scattered all over the floor, and some on the bed as i looked through them. Standing in front of my mirror in only my bra and underwear, i groaned.

"I'm almost done!" I called back- was i lying? Yes, but she didn't know that. She'd been waiting patiently for me in the living room, seemingly preoccupied with my cat while i took my sweet time getting ready. I almost felt bad for making her wait, but she assured me that it was fine and she didn't mind.

"Are you even dressed yet?" Savannah's voice filled my ears after a moment and i groaned loudly, raking a hand through my newly straightened hair. I'd washed, blow dried, and flat ironed my hair- and that alone was a two hour process. I hadn't had my hair straightened since high school and i thought it would be cool to switch it up. Let's just say i'd be going back to my curls sooner than i expected.

No. "Yes!" I yelled back and i swear i heard her sigh. "Give me 10 minutes." I found some fishnet stockings buried amongst the masses of clothes and i sighed in relief, slipping them on before grabbing the strapless black mini dress on the edge of the bed.

I wasn't exactly sure what- or who i was supposed to be. I'd completely ditched the whole 'costume' idea and settled for something a little less extravagant. Soleil asked me how i felt about fake blood, i told her i didn't mind it. I figured i'd just throw on a cute outfit, splatter some fake blood on my face, and call it a day. If people asked what i was supposed to be, i'd just tell them i was a vampire without the fangs- or a sexy psycho killer? I don't know but i'd come up with something.

I already had the fake blood secured, all i needed was the cute outfit.

Pulling the dress over my head and sliding it down my body, i let out a sigh of relief. The material was tight, but not so tight that it squeezed every curve- I wanted to be comfortable tonight. It stopped right at my knees which was perfect for me. Walking over to the other side of my bed I sat down, picking up the pair of leather boots i'd laid out on the floor. It took me a while to get them on but i'd managed.

Looking at myself in the mirror one last time, i swung my bedroom door open before sauntering out of the room. Catching the attention of Savannah, who snapped her head up as i walked over to the couch. A large smile gracing her lips when her eyes scanned over my appearance. "Wow Darlin', aren't you pretty as a peach?" She breathed out, scratching the top of Ash's head as he purred softly in her lap and I laughed lightly at her cute wording.

"Thank you. Are you ready to go?" I questioned and she nodded eagerly. Picking up Ash from her lap and placing him on the couch she rose to her feet, adjusting the silver crown on top of her head.

Savannah wore a baby pink bodycon dress that stopped a little above her knees, paired with a glittery white sash that read 'prom queen'. I was a little confused when i initially saw her, and she chirpily explained to me that she was going as Carrie and that the costume would make more sense with the fake blood.

"How are we getting there?" She questioned as i moved over to the doorway, grabbing my long leather jacket from the coat rack. "You're driving?" She eyed me wearily and I hummed, turning my head towards her.

"I don't plan on drinking too much tonight." I let her know as i opened the door. "But if anything, i'll just leave my car on campus and call us a cab." I assured her and she simply nodded.
