CHAPTER 48 || It's alright

Sascha is in the kitchen with Ralf making breakfast. Romain is in his room answering emails. When there is a heavy knock and someone rings the doorbell, Sascha quickly opens the door. A man pushes past him and almost smashes Romain's room door.

Irritated, the Swiss opens it before realising puzzled, "Timo, what are you doing here? Has something happened to Jenson?"

"Why do you care?" Asks Timo Glock back. "Because he's my husband and I'm concerned about him?" Romain asks confused. "Than explain this!" Timo says and gives him a photo of the note.

"That's neither my font nor my style." Romain says after reading it. "Tell that a panicking Jenson and two kids who never saw your writing." Timo says with a sigh but not surprised. He knows the man in front of him quit well.

"WAIT!? Jenson thinks it's over with us?!" Romain yells in horror. Timo nods. Romain turns pale with shock.

"JENSON! WAKE UP YOU LITTLE FUCKER!! IT'S NOT ROMAIN YOU STUPID COW!!" Hulk shouts at the angry Brit. He shouts back "FROM WHOM ELSE!?" And Kevin interjects "Well, in my situation, I would have guessed my father."

Max's eyes widen and he yells as loud as he can "But Romain's parents were present. So they are suspects." Everyone looks at the Dutchman.

"Ahm, my dad is with Romain and he's furious. Romain keeps getting nightmares and always yells 'Why would you do that to me? I'm just a kid. Don't take Jense away' before waking up screaming and crying. Ralf is scared he might go to his parents house." Pascal says and now eveyones view switches from Pascal to Jenson back and forth.

Jenson has come down a bit and looks at the note more closely. "He would actually have used completely different wording." He admits.

"Jenson, the boy loves you more than anything and would die for you. He's already compromised his own safety several times to keep you safe. And I swear to God, if my nephew sheds so much as a tear for you, you're a dead Brit. SO FIX THIS GODDAMN PROBLEM BUTTON AND GET YOUR HUSBAND BACK!!!" Shouts Mika at the now slightly terrified world champion.

Jenson thinks for a moment and then says "We have to go to Ralf and Sascha. His parents are bound to turn up there soon." Mark nods in agreement.

Immediately all the drivers jump up and set off as fast as they can. Jenson is getting more and more impatient and Kimi is about to smack him.

"Guys? Ralf and Sascha aren't home, he's alone. Papa needed to go too." Pascal in the first car says quietly and Sebastian hits the gas pedal on full force.

Together, the drivers sprint up the stairs at their destination and storm into the commentators' flat. There Romain stands in front of his parents, his eyes are red and he is sobbing while desperately shouting at them.

"What have I done to make you hate me so much? Tell me, damn you. What have I done wrong to be punished like this?!" He yells and the two older ones want to say something back as Romain continues to shout "IS IT TOO MUCH TO DEMAND TO LOVE YOUR CHILD?!!! AND IF SO THEN DON'T DESTROY EVERYTHING FOR ME!!! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO TAKE JENSON FROM ME? WHY? YOU KNOW VERY WELL THAT HE IS MY ONLY REASON TO GO ON LIVING AT ALL!!!"

"You deserve it, you useless piece of shit. You can't do anything, not even win a race. Instead, you only race for the last places. How are you supposed to be of any use to us?" The oldest Swiss shouts back and Romain winces.

Jenson sees Christian's fist coming and dashes forward. He coldly squeezes the air out of his father-in-law and holds him in a headlock. The latter resists, but can do nothing against Jenson's grip.

"If you even think about talking to my husband like that one more fucking time, you're dead!" Jenson hisses warningly and chokes Christian some more.

With Romain still very spooked, Jenson hands the Swiss over to Seb who takes great pleasure in breaking the man's nose. Marie watches anxiously.

Jenson cautiously approaches Romain. "It's fine darling. Everything's going to be alright." He whispers and fixes Romain's eyes. Romain stares back with empty eyes.

"Do you trust me enough?" The Briton asks softly and spreads his arms. A sob escapes Romain's lips as he flees into Jenson's arms and clings to him.

"Just don't look." Jenson murmurs and gives the younger one a gentle kiss on the head before leading him to the sofa. Immediately Romain snuggles trustingly against Jenson and closes his eyes to block out everything else.

Jenson wraps his arms tightly around Romain and whispers "remember our promise? Together until the end of time and beyond." Romain smiles tiredly and just repeats "Together against the rest of the world."

As Ralf looks at his flat, he is stunned. Seb has bloody ankles that are being treated by Kimi, the younger ones are playing UNO, Timo fucking Glock and Gary Paffett are also present, with Pascal dozing on Timo, the older ones are drinking tea, there is shouting and running around everywhere, Romain's parents are repeatedly bumped into disdainfully and Romain himself? He sleeps on the sofa, cuddled up in Jenson's arms.

"My God, no one would believe me this." He quietly laughs before greeting his brother-in-law. Mika laughs too and grins "This is Formula 1!"

I'm thinking about doing some alpha/beta/omega verse but yeah, dunno. There would go my realitic gc idea :)
