Author's Note:

This chapter may be horrible because I didn't even feel like skimming back over it so some things look totally wrong and aren't spelled right or don't frickin' make sense, now you know why. I already know it's not perfect so if you feel like telling me and the world somethings spelled wrong, suck that urge up and don't. Anyway this is my way of warning y'all of the mistakes you might see so you've been warned and, Enjoy!

(Also later I'll probably look back over it and fix the really bad mistakes :) )

Chapter: 8- Life Changes

Monday, December 8, 20**

I walked down the school corridor, straight to Mr. Darvy's door. Knocking I waited until-

"Come in."

Holding my breath as I went in, I looked at him sitting at his desk before quickly sitting down. As I sat I felt his eyes on me while I ruffled through my pockets, looking for the note I scrawled on earlier this morning.

Can you please shorten our sessions so I can make it to my first class? Ever since the beginning of school I've only made it to half of the lessons and now I've unfortunately um...been failing and have a tutor. I'd appreciate if I could make it to the class from now on so I don't have to be in this situation any longer.

Once I handed him the note I watched as he read it his eye brow wrinkling in concentration. When he was done he sat it down in front of him and scratched his head, like he was trying to figure out what to say.

When he was done thinking he folded his arms in front of him and sighed before speaking.

"Zoey, honestly, I'd like to shorten these sessions, but I cant."

What?! Cant?!

My face screwing up into one of confusion I waited for him to elaborate.

"As much as I would love for you to further advance in your studies-"

Then why won't you let me leave earlier?!

"- I just can't let you, considering the fact that your mother gave strict instructions that you should go to these hour meetings every day."

I should've known she'd do something like this! Now what was I going to do?! Was I going to be stuck with Pierce for these next few months?!

But then again thinking on it, I only had to see him like once every while in school and once a week for tutoring. It wasn't that bad of a deal but he was still intimidating as hell. So what in the world should I do to get out of this situation, no matter how short longed or not really that bad it is.

As I sat there thinking of ways to somehow get him to maybe revoke my mothers say in this (so I could go to my first class and actually learn something), he looked at me as in contemplating about something. Sighing he looked like he had come up with an idea but was troubled to say it.

"Well there is something we could probably do so that you could go to your classes and so I wouldn't get in trouble for not...um...having these hour meetings with you."

I was slightly hesitant with what he'd come up with so I could somehow maybe make it to my classes. Sitting up in my chair I waited for him to say what could probably help me out.

"I was thinking maybe we could either push our meetings earlier or later. You could maybe come earlier, around an hour, to school so we could get these out of the way. Or you could have them after school and you'd just have to stay an hour later?"
