"Haseena kya tum sure ho?" Jay asked from the other end of the line.
"Han hum ekdam sure h," I said attempting to sound as confident as possible.
"Agar tumhari yhi ichha h toh thik h," he said. "Jaise tum kahoge waise hi hoga"
I felt a wave of relief hit my body as I nodded though he couldn't see me.
"Kis ka call h?" I heard before I could answer
I turned around to see a sleepy Karishma rubbing her eyes as she stood under the doorframe of our bedroom. It's still early in the morning and I didn't realize she was awake already.
I take a second to admire how cute she looks in the mornings. She's wearing my T-shirt which is a size too big for her. She sleeps like this every night and I remember towards the beginning of my relationship what a problem that was, since we were never able to get any sleep since I couldn't keep my hands off her.
"Jay hum rakhte h. Thank you humara kaam karne ke liye," I said
I didn't wait for a response before hanging up the phone and only observed my girlfriend as she sloppily treaded her way to me.
"Good morning," I say
She doesn't reply, she only envelops her arms around my waist and rests her head on my shoulder making my heartbeat faster at the action of affection.
"Thank you" she mumbles.
I wrap my arms around her tightly "Kis liye?"
"Hum dar gye the ki jam hum jagenge toh aap yahan nhi honge, aur kahi chale gye honge" she explained "Par aap yahi h, humare paas, isliye thank you"
I sighed and nodded slightly tightening my grip on the smaller girl
"Until forever" I assured her.
