I woke with a start in the middle of the night. My chest was tight, and I couldn't breathe. I ran into my parents' room and shook my mother. She quickly sat up and looked at me. "Sunny what's the matter?" I tried to speak but no words would come out. I pointed to my throat then chest and squeaked out, "breathe." My mother will quickly jumped out of bed and woke my father. "Start the car now." My mother picked me up and helped me get my coat on. I was beyond scared and I had no idea what was happening.

My father started the car and my mother carried me out and get me buckled in. "It's gonna be okay sweetie just try and breathe for us." I nodded my head and tried to take a few deep breaths but it seemed to not do anything. My mother got into the back seat with me and rubbed my chest. I could see she was scared and I wanted to tell her we were gonna be okay. I looked up at my father and he seemed more focused on the road than usual. It was getting harder to breathe and my mother held my hand tightly.

My mother carried me into the hospital and all I could smell was chemicals. I was quickly brought into a room and my mother laid me on the bed. "Just relax sweetie we're gonna get you breathing again." I nodded my head and a doctor came in and ran a few small tests. "He has asthma but there's nothing we can do. We can give him a breathing treatment and that's it." My mother looked angry and for once my father did too. "So give him the treatment" my mother said aggravated and upset.

I looked over at my mom and slowly laid back on the bed. I felt weaker and sleepy. The doctor left the room and my mother looked back at me. "It's going to be okay sweetie." I nodded my head and tried to focus on anything but my impending doom. Soon the doctor came back in and put a weird mask on my face. I slowly began to breathe better and I began to relax. I could tell my mom was still angry and upset. I could tell my parents where whispering but I couldn't hear about what. I just wanted to go home, home where all of my friends are.

After a few hours later the treatment was finished and we headed back home. I got back into bed and laid looking up at the ceiling. The sun began to rise and I heard my grandmother making breakfast. "Sunny, would you like some waffles with a go-gurt?" I nodded my head and headed into the kitchen to help prepare breakfast. "I heard you had a rough night, are you doing okay?" I shrugged and helped my grandmother set the table. "There was nothing they could really do." I said as she sighed and nodded.

After breakfast I went back to my room and put on one of my favorite shows. As I watched I began to hear my parents yelling and my grandmother trying to calm my mother. I could hear she was upset but I couldn't tell about what. I decided to ignore it and just watch my show. After some time my mother came in and sat on my bed. "Tomorrow morning were leaving back to Rhode Island, so pack up your bags." I nodded my head and got out of bed.

Is that why you and dad were fighting?" She looked hurt and nodded her head. "It's normal for parents to fight everyonce in a while sweetie so don't worry." I nodded my head and began to pack up my belonings. I was exicited to be going home, but would my friends hate me? As I packed my mom left my room and I could hear her talking with my grandma. I liked living with her but the south is so different then back home. Sure people were a little nicer but back home humans and toons lived in peace. 'Right?'

The next morning we got all packed up and got into the Jeep. I waved goodbye to my grandmother as my father drove us away. I sighed as we got onto the highway. The car was silent and I only wanted to sleep and be back home. But we sold our old home and I was worried. I sat up in my seat and tapped my mom's arm. "Mom, where are we supposed to go now that our home is gone?" My mom turned to my father then me. "Don't worry sweetie that's something for me and your dad to figure out."

Twenty four hours later we returned back to Rhode Island and we stopped at my old Baby sitters house. My parents dropped me off and headed back out. "Charlie where are my parents going?" I asked as she smiled and made me some soup. "There going back to Georgia to get the rest of your belongings." I nodded my head and sat at the table while I waited for my dinner. Once dinner was done I watched a movie and began to feel sleepy. I awoke to a hand on my shoulder and saw my mother at my side. I smiled and hugged her.
