The north of Biafra is aflame! Tendrils of fire burn the countryside to a crisp blackened state. Ogoja has been captured by the Allies. The Anti- India Coalition is on the march. The World Leaders are meeting in Lagos, the largest city in Nigeria. Nigeria over the course of the 21th century has rapidly developed into an African powerhouse. The leaders are meeting and hanging out, President Philippe Henri of France says "We are doing Karaoke, we will spin this wheel to decide what kinds of songs we are singing". Wilhelm sighs, he knows the whole international community will now have to hear his terrible singing. They spin the wheel, and it lands on National Anthems. "To add a twist, as most of the leaders here will be familiar with their nations anthem, we will be singing it in English, don't worry only one verse and the chorus is needed". President Henri goes first, and sings:

"Arise, children of the Fatherland,
The day of glory has arrived!
Against us stands tyranny
Her bloody standard has been raised, (repeated)
Do you hear, in the countryside,
The roar of those ferocious soldiers?
They come right into your arms
To tear the throats of your sons, your wives!

Refrain:
𝄆 To arms, citizens,
Form your battalions,
Let's March, let's march!
So that an impure
blood waters our furrows!
𝄇"

President Henri's rendition was actually pretty good. Then it is Wilhelm's turn, he sings very terribly:

"Unity and Justice and Freedom
For the German Fatherland!
After these let us all strive
Brotherly with heart and hand!
Unity and Justice and Freedom
Are the security of happiness.
𝄆 Bloom in the splendor of this happiness,
Bloom, German Fatherland!
𝄇"

Every body is looking at him strange, and he sees August with a smile on his face obviously happy Wille embarrassed himself.

Then it is August's turn, August sings, somehow even worse then Wilhelm:

"Thou old, thou free, thou mountain-high north
Thou quiet, thou joyful beauty!
I greet thee, loveliest land upon Earth,
𝄆 Thy sun, thy sky, thy green landscapes. 𝄇

II
Thou art enthroned upon memories of great days of yore,
When honoured thy name flew across the Earth,
I know that thou art and remainest what thou werest,
𝄆 Yes, I want to live, I want to die in the North. 𝄇"

Somehow August's version of Du gamla, Du fria was even worse than Wilhelm's Deutschlandlied. And August gets strange looks and stares. Then the polish president, who Wilhelm has forgotten the name sings:

"Poland has not yet perished,
So long as we still live.
What the foreign force has taken from us,
We shall with saber retrieve.

Chorus:
𝄆 March, march, Dąbrowski,
From Italy to Poland.
Under your command
We shall rejoin the nation.
𝄇"

That was a good rendition of Poland is not lost and it gets applause. Then it is Alex Garner's turn, as president of the United States, he will sing the Star Spangled Banner. He begins singing:

"O! say can you see by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the Rockets' red glare, the Bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our Flag was still there;
O! say does that star-spangled Banner yet wave,
O'er the Land of the free and the home of the brave?"

His rendition is not half bad, and gets minor applause, yet not a much as the French or Polish President's.

August leaves, he is disappointed that his singing was not appreciated. His mother, Louise had always told him he was a great singer. Unbeknownst, to him as he walks outside somebody has followed him. "Hello August" Wilhelm says, "Wille... Didn't expect to see you here" responds August. August asks "Was my singing really that bad?" "Unfortunately, it was, and mine wasn't much better" responds Wilhelm. "I was always told, I was a great singer as a child" August retorts, Wilhelm responds "Just another thing parents lie about".

Edvin Ryding was doing his normal prep for SNL. When Wilhelm called "Hey Edvin, I have an idea for a skit".
