"So, are you going to get back together with her?" Selena asks, and I roll my eyes, shrugging. It's been a few weeks since Taylor showed up at my door in middle of the night, she had to leave that next morning. Though it wasn't long, it was nice having her there.
Taylor has been texting me a lot, and it's been bringing up a lot of old feelings. The feeling of missing her is by far the hardest feeling to deal with, especially with Taylor being on tour too. Our schedules and places don't always align.
Taylor has been really sweet, texting and calling frequently. Taylor keeps me updated on where she is at, and what she is doing. I am finally starting to accept her effort and I'm starting to give into how I feel for her, which is what I just confessed to Selena.
"I don't know, Sel," I sigh, I want to, I want her more than anything. Though, I know the timing isn't great, with us both traveling constantly. I don't know how we would work; I know we have a routine of calling and texting right now, we text during the day, calling at night, but we would need to see each other more. I can't go a whole month in between seeing her, every single time.
"She still loves you," Selena says, and I shake my head, if Taylor feels that way, she needs to tell me. I need to hear it from her, I am not just playing around this time.
"I'm not listening to you," I roll my eyes, and Selena laughs, shrugging in response.
"Just letting you know," she takes a sip of her water that she has. As if on cue, my phone rings. This confuses me, as I take it out of my pocket, seeing Taylor's name lighting up the screen. She only calls me at night, so this is out of the ordinary.
"I'll see my way out," Selena smiles to me, heading out of the kitchen, going towards the door, probably assuming I want to be alone while I talk with Taylor. I wave goodbye as I answer the call.
"Hello?" I place the phone on speaker, sitting down at the dinner table.
"Hey," the sound of Taylor's voice instantly makes me smile like a little kid.
"What up?" I question as I was not expecting her to call right now.
"Oh, nothing," Taylor tries to say nonchalantly, but I can hear someone in the background. Is it another girl? I can kind of hear Taylor whispering to her as well.
"Okay, well, I gotta go," I say, probably interrupting their conversation. I don't want to know what she's doing; I change my mind. I don't want to know why she called. She sounds like she is with other people.
"Why? Are you busy?" She asks, seeming concerned.
"Yeah," I say, ending the call, and shaking my head. There's knocking on the door, and I roll my eyes. Selena must've forgotten something. I make my way to the door, answering it, not paying much attention. I walk away, after I open it.
"Whatever you forgot, it's probably in the kitchen," I suggest to her, making my way to the living room.
"I don't believe I left anything in your kitchen?" She asks confused, and I turn around at the sound of her voice, and she shuts the door behind her, "I decided to come in, seeing that you were mad about a girl talking to me," a smirk takes over her face, as the realization hits me.
"But you can't be too mad, considering I was talking to the girl that was leaving your house," she finishes, her smirk never disappearing, and I know my eyes are wide.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry," I say, realizing the girl she was whispering to was Selena. I feel absolutely horrible. I didn't even realize she was the one I let in just now, "Holy shit, I feel horrible," I continue apologizing to her.
