I look out the window, watching the car I am in drive through the city. It's the first time in a couple of weeks that I have gotten to see Taylor again. As happy as I am to see her, I can't help but overthink.

We are going to a party tonight, and the same thing always happens at these things. Taylor and I always have ended badly at parties. I am looking at this as a way of figuring out how we are going to work now.

Usually, she leaves me alone at parties, leaving me to drink at the bar while she speaks with her friends. Or, we have some type of miscommunication. I need to know we can get passed these things, that we could actually be together, and get through nights like this together.

"Are you okay?" She asks, interlacing her fingers with mine. She looks to me, and I look back to her, my eyes meeting her blue ones. Her eyes are filled with concern. She is probably thinking the same thing I am. This will make or break us.

"Yeah," I say, not very confidently, though I nod my head. She squeezes my hand.

"If I say I am seeing someone, I mean you," she speaks up, and I slightly smile. One of our first fights for sure. At least we learned something from it, we need to talk before we go into the party.

"Likewise," I press a light kiss to her lips, trying to reassure her.

"Cari, I don't want this to end bad," Taylor admits her fears, which are the same as mine once again.

"I don't either," I answer honestly, breaking eye contact with her. This always ends bad, and since we are not official or anything, I can't help but assume that it will once again.

"I know we aren't together, and we can't act like it at this thing," Taylor begins speaking, "I know you aren't ready for that, but can I act like I like you?" She asks, and this makes me smile. Such a weird question to ask.

"If you are okay with people thinking you like me, sure," I smile to her, nodding my head. She is out now, I guess she is allowed to like people, even if it's not an official thing.

"You won't be mad if I openly flirt with you?" She asks teasingly, putting her arm around my shoulder. I can't help but lean into her.

"If you are comfortable with that, you are allowed to flirt with me. I just don't want things to be official just yet," I reply, sort of interested in what is going through her mind.

"So, think of this as a way of sort of, introducing the thought of us?" Taylor questions, trying to get clarification from me.

"Only if you are comfortable with that," I remind her once again. She has never publicly been open about flirting with anyone and has not been seen with a woman since she has come out. Especially a woman that is openly gay, like I am. People will definitely start assuming things.

"I'm making sure that you are," she responds, the car coming to a stop and signaling that we have arrived.

"And I am making sure that you are. Being seen flirting with me, people will definitely take notice," I inform her, trying to remind her that everyone knows how much I love women. People will not take her flirting with me lightly.

"Babe, I know," she smirks to me, pressing one last kiss to my lips, before opening the car door, and getting out. She holds it open for me as I follow her. She then closes the car door, and we walk into the party together.

The second we walk in; everyone seems to notice the tall blonde. They all walk over to her and begin to ask her about her tour and her album. I knew this was bound to happen; she is Taylor Swift.

I decide to head to the bar, sitting down on a stool and ordering a drink. I am used to being alone at these things. By the time my drink arrives, Taylor takes the stool next to me, and I look to her almost confused, as she orders a drink as well. She looks to me, a smile on her face.
