"I don't understand why we can't just kill him now."
The two manic serial killers were hiding behind a bush as they watched the love of their life be comforted by another man. They were standing far enough where Rory couldn't see them, but close enough where they could see her. The two feeling their skin on fire at seeing Rory's new boy toy holding her in his arms.
"Because, that's not part of the plan yet. There are rules." Billy said irritated at his impatient partner in crime. Billy looked older with facial hair that he had grown over the past two years. His hair a little longer, just above his shoulders. He was sporting a jacket and baseball cap to not be recognized. Especially with cameras on campus now, thanks to Gale.
"Rules, rules, rules. That all I fuckin hear from ya. Doesn't that bother you?" Stu said frustrated as he ran his fingers through his now bleached hair. To blend in as a student on campus, he bleached his hair blonde and got many piercings. On his ears, nose, lip, and eyebrow. Wearing dark clothes, more of the punk aesthetic he chose.
Billy rolled his eyes and looked at Rory crying in Liam's arms. Billy and Stu had seen the fight with Rory and Gale, and they were impressed to say the least. Something about seeing their girl snap and have to get yanked back before she beat Gale to a pulp was...satisfying. They loved every second of it. Every insult Rory spat at Gale, every punch, and every threat shouted towards Gale, they adored every moment. They even found it amusing how Sidney thought she could calm down the enraged brunette, only to come up short when Rory practically shrugged her off.
What bothered them was seeing that Mickey guy wrapping his arms around Rory, restraining her from lunging at Gale. The way her body tensed up in his arms did not go unnoticed by the two sociopaths. What made their eyes twitch right now was watching Liam comfort Rory. He doesn't know her like we do? He doesn't love her like we do. He wouldn't kill for her. He wouldn't burn the world down for her. Stu and Billy wanted nothing more than to be the one comforting their girl.
"Of course it bothers me, you idiot. But what do you expect me to do? Go over their and slice him open like a fucking pig and take Rory away? No, you moron. Grow some fuckin patience and relax." Billy groaned in irritation as he snapped at his friend.
Billy understood Stu's frustration. The second Billy found out Rory started dating Liam, he was livid. In their hideout, which was an abandoned cabin they had been camping at for a few months now, Billy had thrown every piece of furniture and practically broke everything. Stu on the other hand just went on a killing spree. He didn't feel the need of destroying the place they were living in.
When they first ran away, they would hide in abandoned buildings. They were always on the run. Only staying in one place for short periods of time. They had watched over Rory since that night in Woodsboro. Seeing how she was doing, who she was hanging with, memorizing her routines. They were like her shadows. Always lurking in dark corners and stalking her.
Billy liked to just watch her for hours. Observe every expression and reaction from her. He wanted to be up to date with this newfound Rory when they reunited. He wanted it to be like they never left. Like everything was the same.
Stu was different. He tended to get too close, which Billy would constantly scold him for. Stu would break into her dorm when no one was there. He would lay in her bed and just take cat naps as he inhaled her scent and hugged her pillows and stuffed animals, as if she was right there laying with him. Stu would go so far as to sneak in when Rory and her roommate were sleeping, which luckily for him, the two girls were heavy sleepers and never heard him. He would snap pictures of Rory as she slept and sometimes steal some of her things. Little things that she wouldn't even realize are missing.
The two crazed boys missed Rory deeply. So when they found out about her new boyfriend, it was like a slap to the face. They couldn't fathom how Rory could move on from them. Even though they knew it was their fault Rory went into a spiral, they were delusional. They liked to believe that they were the only ones meant to be with Rory, not that pathetic excuse of a soccer player.
The only thing they tolerated of Liam was how he treated her and made her feel. They had picked up on Rory's changed attitude after Woodsboro. How she was more snappy and cold. How she was constantly doing something and never let herself relax. Deep down they knew her sour personality was because of them, but they would never admit to that. When Liam came into the picture, Rory was less irritable and started to loosen up. Sometimes she would look like the old Rory, but it made them feel jealous that he brought it out of her and not them. They wanted nothing more than to be back with Rory. To hug her, kiss her, make her laugh.
They just wanted her.
"Whatever, man. All I'm saying is every time I see his stupid face my fingers itch. It's bad enough we have to watch her with her tongue down his throat, now we have to watch his hands all over her." Stu complained in frustration. "It's bullshit." He muttered with crossed arms. Pouting like a child that doesn't get to play with their favorite toy.
"You're just mad you caught them that one time." Billy chuckled as he kept his eyes on the couple in the distance.
"Hey! You promised you'd never bring that up. How was I supposed to know Ror would do something like that?" Stu whined like an overgrown child.
One night when Stu was stalking Rory like usual, he had wanted to check up on Rory again. It was late at night and Stu had found out her roommate wasn't there, so he decided to sneak in while she was asleep. What Stu didn't know was Rory was far from asleep and she wasn't alone. Stu had heard whimpering from inside her dorm and thought something was wrong. So of course, Stu broke Billy's rules and opened the door to Rory's room. He didn't even care if Rory saw him, he was just worried something was wrong.
Oh, how wrong Stu was. The second he opened the door, he saw Liam atop of Rory as they were under the covers...naked. Stu's eyes went wide and jaw dropped. He would have never thought that's what he'd see. Luckily for him, Liam just shouted at him to leave and close the door while Rory hid her face in embarrassment. The couple not even seeing that a jealous sociopathic serial killer was standing there shocked. Stu quickly closed the door and left the building in a daze. Once he realized what actually happened, he was pissed. Seeing Rory like that reminded him of when he took her virginity. He wanted to be the only one, besides Billy, to make her feel that way.
He had stormed off to his hideout and told Billy everything. Waving his hands in the air and pacing around in anger and seething jealousy. Billy was obviously upset about it, he was more than itching to go slice Liam's dick off and shove it down his throat, but Billy knew better than to stray from his plan. He just kept his murderous thoughts to himself. Instead he laughed at Stu and mocked him for walking in on the couple and that only embarrassed Stu which is why he made Billy promise to never bring it up again.
"It serves you right for doing the opposite of what I said and getting too close. I had told you to stop sneaking into her dorm, but no, you never listen."
Billy said annoyed. He looked away from Rory and Liam who were now walking away. "Let's go. We gotta get ready for later." Billy told Stu as he started walking off.Stu just huffed and followed after Billy, but not without glancing back at Rory's retreating figure one last time.
He missed her more than anything on the planet.
