Warning: smut towards the end of the chapter!
Last night was scary for Rory for many reasons. The flowers, the note, admitting to Liam that she loves him. It took a toll on her mentally and Liam noticed. Which is why he decided to take her on a brunch date. Away from campus for a bit to help her destress.
Looking in the mirror, adjusting her outfit, Rory was lost in her own mind. Staring at the visible scar on her side below her rib cage. The haunting memory of that night and who gave it to her.
"It makes you a survivor, Rora."
Liam's voice broke her out her dark thoughts. Looking up at the mirror to see him hug her from behind with his head buried in the crook of her neck.
"You survived a tragedy. And that scar shows how strong you are." Liam softly spoke as his finger traced her scar gently, causing goosebumps along her skin.
Rory didn't think she'd ever love anyone again like she loved Billy and Stu, but Liam surprised her. He was dedicated to win her over no matter how stubborn she was to close herself off emotionally.
Liam always made Rory feel loved. Complimented her every chance he got, took her out on dates, bought her gifts or flowers just cause he wanted to see her smile. He worships the ground she walks on and it's why she finally told him those three important words last night.
Because Liam Thornton found his way into Aurora Bloom's locked heart.
"You don't think it looks ugly? It's hard to miss." She said self consciously. Her eyes looking at her scar through the mirror. With the outfit she's wearing, it's on display for everyone to see and it made her insecure.
"Baby, you are the definition of stunning. That scar just makes you look fierce. Not only are you a beautiful girl, but you're strong too. And that scar is a good example that you're not to be messed with." He said with nothing but love and admiration for the brunette. Softly tracing over her scar as he pressed gentle kisses along her neck.
She softly smiled at his words. That's another thing she loves about Liam. He always knows how to pull her out of a dark headspace.
Liam is the light she deserves.
"I love you." Rory tenderly said, looking at him through the mirror.
"I love you more, my gorgeous girl." He said between kissing along her neck.
***********
Liam took her to a nice brunch restaurant. He could see the stress leave her body for a moment as she enjoyed her food. Getting her to laugh with jokes just so her mind was off the situation back on campus.
He wanted to prolong her peace, so he took her to play miniature golf. Parking the car in the lot, getting out and opening the passenger door for her.
