After the altercation with Gale and Rory, Liam had comforted his girlfriend as best as he could. He walked her back to her dorm so she could get ready for the party later. He had asked if she was even up for going out. He had reassured her that the two of them could just stay in and watch a movie, but Rory had promised Chloe she was going to the party.
Rory unlocked her dorm room and was met with a bright blonde getting ready. "Rory!" The blonde rushed to her roommate and engulfed her into a hug. "Feel like I haven't seen you in forever."
Rory let out a light chuckle as she wrapped her arms around the perky girl. "I saw you yesterday, Chloe."
Chloe pulled from the hug with a smile on her face. "I know. It's been torture." She dramatically said. She gave Liam a small wave and went back to getting ready.
Liam waved back and turned to Rory. He laid his hands on her hips, bringing her in closer. "I'll be back later to pick you up, okay?"
Rory nodded as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Got it. Thank you for earlier. I'm sorry I got all crazy." She said softly.
Liam just lightly laughed and tucked a lock of her brown hair behind her ear. "Don't worry. You know I'm always here for you. Besides, we all know Gale deserved it. I just didn't know my Sleeping Beauty packed quite the punch."
She playfully rolled her eyes as a small smile graced her lips. "I'll see you later." She pecked his lips goodbye.
Once Liam had left, Chloe turned to the brunette with a concerned look. Rory noticed and sighed as she walked over to her desk and sat down. "What?"
"You know what. I heard about that fight, Rory." Chloe said concerned.
"I don't feel like getting scolded right now, Chloe. Save me the lecture." Rory said tiredly as she started to do her makeup.
Since Chloe and Rory were paired as roommates, Chloe had taken the role of telling Rory when she was right and wrong. Scolding her for making bad decisions, but being her shoulder to cry on when needed. Chloe reminded Rory of a certain blonde that she missed. It's why she never snapped at Chloe. She didn't have it in her to put the sweet girl in her place. She was just looking out for her friend after all.
Chloe walked over to Rory and stood behind her as she looked at her through the mirror. She picked up a hairbrush and started to comb Rory's disheveled hair. "I'm not going to scold you. I'm just worried, Rory. I know how short tempered you are. I just don't want what happened today to happen again." She said in a soft concerned voice.
"It won't." Rory sighed as she let her friend do her hair. "You don't have to worry, Chlo. It was just a slip up. That's all."
Chloe bent forward so her face was next to Rory's. She looked at her through the mirror with a small smile on her face and hands on Rory's shoulders. "Good. I don't need you getting in trouble and getting kicked out off campus. I don't want another roommate."
Rory softly laughed at Chloe's authoritative tone. "Okay, mom." She mocked the blonde.
Chloe just rolled her eyes and gave the sarcastic brunette a kiss on the cheek. She stood upright and started curling Rory's hair. "Now, tell me. Did Gale cry?"
Rory snickered and explained everything that happened earlier that day while Chloe helped her get ready. The two girls gossiping and dressing up just like Rory used to do with Tatum.

Later that night, Liam knocked on the girls dorm room. Rory opened the door with a small smile on her face. She was dressed in a red tight tank top that had lace along the neckline. Also a short black denim skirt and black combat boots that reached her calves. The outfit topped with an oversized red leather jacket. Her hair down in loose curls and darker makeup. Black streak of eyeliner and a subtle maroon lip.
Liam took in her appearance as a grin grew on his face. He would never get tired of seeing Rory get all dolled up. He adored the girl more than anyone else. "You look gorgeous, baby." He wrapped his arms around her waist and brought her close to his chest.
"Thank you." Rory smiled as she saw him look her up and down.
Liam leaned in closer and kissed her cheek. "Why don't we just skip the party?" He whispered in a sultry tone near her ear.
"Hey! I heard that! Rory is not ditching this party, horndog." Chloe said as she grabbed her purse. She walked past the couple and out the door. "Let's go, lovebirds."
The couple just laughed. "Come on. I don't need Chlo having an aneurysm because we're late to the party." Rory joked. Liam just playfully rolled his eyes and led Rory out the door. His arm around her waist the whole time as they left the building.
The three friends met up with their friend group. Chloe was talking to Hallie about the sorority, Mickey filling in Randy on the fight earlier, Derek walking with Sidney, and Liam walking right by Rory with his arm around her waist listening to her rambling.
Randy walked up to Rory as they all walked to the party. "Rory, I cannot believe I missed you getting into a cat fight with Gale."
Rory just rolled her eyes as she sarcastically spoke. "I'm sorry, Ray. Next time I think I'm gonna fight someone, I'll call you first so you can watch with popcorn in your hand."
"Thank you!" Randy threw his hands up in the air as he stopped walking. Liam and Rory kept walking as they laughed at their friend. Randy realized she was being sarcastic and looked back at them. "Hey!"
The chatty friend group were oblivious to the lurking eyes watching them from the shadows.
