This week passed by in a daze. I was all wrapped up in my modeling work,a fashion show, magazine interviews and lots of shoots. Like last night I had a lingerie shoot for the biggest company ever. I wonder how the Zulu family will react to the advert but I guess they understand that it's just part of my job, they have seen me in bikini ads and this will not be any different.
I have been so wrapped in work that I haven't been spending time with the boys so today I took them to the mall for a little outing, they got haircuts and I washed my hair,we went to watch a movie,we went to the game arcade and we also did a bit of shopping.
Right now we are at Spur and I'm sipping away on my milkshake.
"Dr Zulu" somebody greets.
I look up from my phone to see Ayabulela,my ex standing there. He hasn't changed in anyway.
"Advocate Gcinisa" I say as I stand up to give him a brief hug.
"I didn't know that you were back" he says as he steps back to look at me.
"Yeah a lot of people don't know" I say sitting down.
"Can I join you?" He asks pointing to the chair.
I nod.
"Are you here with your baby daddy?" He asks.
I smile.
"No he is at home" i say.
"Zanothando must have went crazy when he found out hey,I'm glad you left that man he never did deserve you" he says.
I look at him and nod.
I hope the boys stay in the play area until he leaves because he is going to faint when he sees them.
"You look even more beautiful than ever" he says.
"Thank you" I say with a smile.
He flags the waiter down and orders. He asks what I would like and I tell him I'm good.
"From a village girl to a well respected doctor and the hottest model how do you do it?" He asks sitting back on his chair looking like he is seeing God himself.
I laugh.
"You sound like you are a journalist have you changed careers Mr Gcinisa?" I ask.
He laughs also.
"It's not everyday I get to meet a celebrity who I grew up with" he says.
"Says the celebrity himself" and we both laugh.
"I see you are not married" he says.
I look at him confused.
"There is no ring on your finger" he says kissing my hand.
"Mommy I'm tired" Lwandile says.
Where did they come from. Lwandle sits down and doesn't say a word. They must be exhausted then.
"Okay let's go then" I say standing up and taking my purse.
Lwandle takes my phone. I look at Ayabulela and he looks like he just got placed in a freezer, his mouth is wide open.
"Mr close your mouth, flies will enter" Lwandle says worriedly.
I can't help but laugh.
"Enjoy your dinner Advocate,it was nice seeing you" I say and lead the boys to my car.
Yes! My black G-Wagon with 'Mrs Z 1 GP' plates. I buckle in the boys and we drive off.
They must have really exhausted themselves because after their bath they fall asleep.

"I bumped into Aya today and he saw the boys" I text Rea.
"Oh how I wish I was there to see his face" she texts back with a lot of laughing emojis.
"Lwa even told him to close his mouth"
"That boy is a mini Zano I tell you" she texts back with a laughing sticker.
We text for a while and then I go back to watching Grey's Anatomy.
"I see they had a great day" Zano texts.
He is replying to my status uploads,I posted the boys. I make sure that their faces don't show in the media but since my WhatsApp is mostly close friends and family I don't hide them.
"They even tired themselves out, when we got home they went straight to bed" I reply.
"And why are you also not sleeping?"
"I should be asking you that same question" I reply.
"I'm thinking about a lot of things" he texts.
That gets me worried a bit. I hope he is okay.
"Name one and maybe I could help you with it" I reply.
"You" he texts.
I can't help but smile. Back to his old ways.
"And what about me Mr Zulu?" I reply.
"Go to sleep Mrs Zulu " he texts.
I blush the last time I was called Mrs Zulu was before I graduated ever since then I have been Dr Zulu.
"Come on Zano tell me" I text him.
It double ticks and he doesn't reply. I throw my phone on the couch and switch off the TV,I might as well go to bed. I have a long drive to KwaZulu tomorrow.

I wake up at the crack of dawn and get ready. I put on a headwrap and leave my pony tail hanging. I put on a body hugging white dress that goes to my knees,it has long sleeves so I don't need to wear a cardigan. In my suitcase I made sure that I pack a lot of Tswana shawls and long dresses,we cover ourselves up when we have ceremonies or anything to do with tradition. On a normal day this will be okay. I avoid putting on makeup I don't want to be the long lost slay queen.
When I'm done I wake the boys and bath them. They insist on getting dressed in new clothes. Long sleeved black t-shirts,wax jeans and Dr Martens boots. I make breakfast and we eat. When we are done I load the bags into the car as they watch cartoons. Then we drive off when the sun is out.
