Dominant Omega Cale x Doting Alpha Roksu XD

[****]

"It is only week one of the first semester, Roksu-yah, and you are looking quite exhausted," Jung Soo mocks Roksu, who is literally sick of having Tomato as his deskmate. Not only that but if looks could create holes, his face would be riddled with them right now.

Who the hell throws a damn praise at handsomeness every moment and every minute like some lunatic's chant? Cale Hentiuse throws a damn fucking wink every time he has the chance. He couldn't stop getting the chills!

He fumbles on his desk and waits for another batch of incessant rumblings from the redhead.

But...

He's absent.

Roksu frowned. Cale had never been absent from the diner, but he was not in school nor did he come to the diner. Even the father and son asked him why the redhead was nowhere to be found.

"You should call him."

"I don't have his number." He didn't have any contact with the redhead but for sure, he was worried. He knew that his phone is a piece of crap but he should at least have his number for goddamn sake.

Of course, he had no other choice but to remain seated on his seat, in denial of his worry about the redhead.

He can't wait for school to end!

.

.

When it's time to clock out from school, Kim Roksu decides to visit the redhead's unit. He spent his remaining allowance to buy some goods and medication. He's just visiting a friend. Also, he remembered that Cale had been living alone in that condo unit.

He rode his bicycle and went to the redhead's house.

He never expected to run to him sitting alone by the creek. Roksu suddenly felt the urge to nag at him but—

Why is he wearing such expression?

There are times that Cale looked as if he's ready to go. He had a wilted rose in his hand while staring at the water moving with leaves making that comforting sound.

His gaze felt like he's in another world, a world he made all on his own, with unending sadness and loneliness filling his beautiful brown eyes.

Roksu slowly approached him. He still had the food and medication in his arms as well as the worksheets that Cale needs to submit by monday.

"Hey."

Cale's attention was finally on him. The redhead who wore a sorrowful expression now wear such a beautiful fake smile. It gave Roksu that bitter feeling.

"Don't force yourself to smile."

"Huh?"

Roksu sat beside him and handed him the pudding he bought for colds.

"Do not force yourself to smile at me when you are obviously sad," he said flatly.

The saddest tears are sometimes shed by the person who brightens the most.

The walls we build around ourselves to keep sadness out also keep joy out.

Sadness adds depth. Height is given by happiness. Sadness creates roots. Happiness bestows branches. Happiness is like a tree reaching for the sky, while sadness is like roots reaching for the earth's womb. Both are required and the higher a tree grows, the deeper it grows at the same time. The larger the tree, the larger the roots. In fact, it is always in proportion. That is how it is balanced.
