Backstory Part 3

Fatima called Zac but he wouldn't answer.  She kept calling and still no answer. So she left him a voicemail.

VM: babe please call me back I can explain, it's definitely not what it looks like. Please listen to me and call me back.

Fatima was sitting on the couch watching Zac's away game on tv. The Nicks were winning and Fatima was relieved, she knew that if Zac won his game he would be more likely to listen to reason. Fatima's phone rang and it was Angela.

Fatima: hey girl
Angela: hey, you watching your man kick ass?
Fatima: hey I am, and hoping he won't kick my ass.
Angela: what!??
Fatima: girl why someone took a picture of Jay hugging me and sent it to Zac.
Angela: bitch.... Are you serious?
Fatima: yes and you know how he is. He sent me the picture and stop answering my calls.
Angela: this is not good. The last time Jay was an issue, Zac fucking lost it.
Fatima: you think I don't know that Angela! Shit. I'm trying to fix it before he loses his shit but he won't answer.
Angela: you want me to get Kyle to talk to him?
Fatima: please sis, I can't deal with how bad this could get and I'm 6 months pregnant.
Angela: ok let me call you back.

A few hours had past and Angela was able to get her boyfriend Kyle who plays with Zac to talk to him.

Kyle: let me get 2 Corona's and 2 double shots of Hennessy.
Bartender: coming right up
Kyle: man you know Angela blowing up my phone because you won't answer Fatima's call
Zac: man look we just won the game I'm not trying to ruin the rest of my night with the dumb shit. Fatima already know what it is.
Kyle: Angela said the bull just hugged her.
Zac: Kyle, she know what it is. If she wasn't in his face he wouldn't have hugged her. She just doe's stupid shit to piss me off because I'm not there.
Kyle: what is it about this nigga that you hate him so much?
Zac: before me and Tima broke up he was checking for her. She said she shut it down but everyone knew he wanted her. So when we broke up and he shot his shot, she took it. And the thought of him or any man for that matter touching her, drives me crazy. It's like he took something that was mine, forbidden fruit.
Kyle: man, so she came back to you, and that was 2 years ago. She wears your ring and is pregnant with your baby.

Zac knows what Kyle is saying is right. He never asked Fatima if she slept with Jay because in reality he doesn't want to ever think of another man touching her, she told him she would tell him everything and he said he didn't want to know. He told her when they got back together, to stay away from him because he doesn't respect their relationship. Fatima promised. So him his head she broke her promise regardless of the circumstances.

Kyle: you know Fatima would not do anything to disrespect y'all relationship, talk to her. You know she's pregnant and probably stressing.

Later on in the evening Zac was in his hotel room just finished showering. He decided he would call Fatima after her calling 24 times and leaving 8 messages.

Zac: Wasup
Fatima: Wasup!!, so you text me a picture and then stop responding?
Zac: I had a game, you knew that.
Fatima: really Zachary, you do realize I'm 6 months pregnant right??
Zac: Fatima don't start, put yourself in my shoes. If someone would have sent you a picture of me hugging an ex girlfriend you would have been cool? Hell no!
Fatima: Zac I'm pregnant!!!! You stop answering me anything could have happened. You always overreact when it comes to him.
Zac: Fatima what the fuck did I tell you about him?
If you wasn't in his face, there would be nothing for me to overreact about.
Fatima: I wasn't in his face. I bumped into him at target. I didn't purposefully go out with the intent on linking up with him.

There was a moment of complete silence. They both were upset and Zac could hear Fatima crying.

Zac: look it's late and I know you should be tired. We can finish this conversation tomorrow. I will call you in the morning before practice.

Fatima didn't say anything, she just hung up.
Thinking how can he be so mad that he stop answering the calls of his pregnant fiancé. This is what she hate's about him, if he feels he's been wronged, he shuts her out no matter the situation. He's so immature in that regard. But yet possessive when it comes to other men and his women.

Fatima curled up in her king size bed eating a bowl of ice cream and watching tv.

The next morning she was woken up by her phone ringing. It was indeed Zac.

Zac: good morning
Fatima: hey
Zac: I'm sorry it sounds like I woke you up
Fatima: it's fine, wasup
Zac: look, I know your going through a lot, I'm sorry I'm not home more
Fatima: it's what I signed up for
Zac: can you stop with the snide remarks, I know you're mad. I'm sorry I reacted like that. You know that nigga gets under my skin, but that's still not a reason to not answer my pregnant wife. I was wrong and I'm sorry.
Fatima: Zac I love you, I really do. I'm doing my best to adjust to this lifestyle. But I would be lying if I said this shit was easy. I'm struggling.
Zac: how can I fix it?
Fatima: I don't know, I just need you home more.
Zac: I will be. I love you baby
Fatima: I love you too.
