On their way out, they saw Jessica, hurriedly rushing by while looking at a tablet.
The Doctor was able to catch a glimpse of what was on there and it was something about Raythean and how it has been tanking ever since some crisis hit the company.
Amiya showed concern for the feline, "Poor girl..." she let out, "She must be stressed beyond belief right now..."
He sighed and looked down. "Poor girl indeed...wished I had time to cuddle with her and take her stress away." He spoke with a solemn look as the kitty was rushing by.
Amiya heard what he said and giggled, "I'm sure she'd liked that."
They began nearing Engineering, seeing Closure and some operators as they were working. Amiya smiled and looked at Closure.
The Vampire looked at her, before looking at the Doctor, "Ah! Doc!" She called and waved him down. Before her was some sort of device attach to a camera and a pivot system.
"She has something to show you," Amiya began, looking at him. "Wanna see?"
He took a looked at it, studying it carefully. "Can you remind me what it is again?" He asked calmly as he studied the components making up the camera.
"Well," Closure began, going over to a small control panel, "I figured out how to make a device that can automatically adjust elevation for distance!"
She excitedly goes over to her device and points the camera-like system at something, "Watch!"
Amiya brought Doctor to the side as Closure activating a switch. A screen nearby read how far the target she was pointing at was.
And the little stem immediately adjusted for the little catapult toy's velocity to hit the target with a good margin of accuracy.
Closure giggled before going over to the Doc, "What do you think? I uhh... kinda made it when I realized that such devices can make us more accurate at distance," she scratched the back of her head, "G-granted, we don't fight at distances beyond 2 kilometers, but it's still good right?"
He chuckled and went over to the vampire and held her shoulder. "Are we aiming to shoot a drone out of the skies? I mean don't get me wrong, I love how great it already is. I just think that you're trying to send a man to one of the moons, right?" He teased her.
Closure smirked and giggled, "That's Columbia and Rhine Lab's problem!" She looks at her device with pride still, "I am trying to make this system smaller, it can be very useful as many of our operators still use bows and crossbows.
He nodded and imagined its usage. "I see, I see." He continued to think about a way to improve upon the idea before he just said. "Try to lower the cost per unit, and make it easy to use. I hope that that way, we can give it to most or all operators, and they can use it with ease."
