Jessica needed a hug.

The problems of Raythean Industries were finally catching up with her.

And she feared that in the future, she'll have to take the mantle of the company.

She was rushing towards the BSW dorms of Rhodes Island. She needed to talk with Franka, with Liskarm.

No wait... she stopped in the middle of her running and looked towards the training center, Maybe Instructor Dobermann?

That Military Perro always treated her like some sort of daughter if what Franka was telling her is true.

She shook her head, maybe not her.

She only spiraled more into confusion as she was able to stop at the cafeteria. Though it wasn't any of the designated times to eat, she was probably able to get some drinks at the very least.

Liquid courage? Really Jessica? She mentally berated, sighing.

She still continued inside, looking at the rather empty room. She saw Gummy and Matterhorn cleaning up the kitchen.

Jessica approached, hands timid. Though she matured over the past 5 years, she was still relatively timid, even amongst friends.

"H-hi?" She lets out, catching the attention of Gummy.

"Hah? Oh hi Jessica!" She hurriedly comes over, "Do you need anything?"

"A-a drink please," she answered. The blonde Ursine girl smiled and quickly rushed to whip something up for Jessica. Matterhorn set some plates away, before going to focus on cleaning up the sink.

Quite a lot of dishes Jessica noticed. Probably was pretty busy today and she was sure that most of the dishes were because of a very excited engineering department being treated to a lot of food due to the successes that they just had today.

Jessica sniffled for a moment, trying to ignore the notifications that were flowing to her from her tablet.

Gummy approached with the drink, humming a little tune, blissfully unaware of the problems that Jessica was having. "Here you go!" Jessica takes the drink and reached into her pocket.

"Ah ah ah." The Feline turned to face Gummy, who had her eyes blissfully closed with a smile. "Don't worry Ms. Jessica, you don't need to pay!"

"Really..?" She questioned, taking her hand out of her pocket. Gummy gave another nod, before she just gives a wave.

"Yes I'm sure, have a good one!" With that little Ursine accent, she walks off, while Jessica begins to exit the cafeteria.

She started to take sips of what she was given. A smile was brought to her face and she was a let o rub away some tears when she tasted milk and tons of sweet things...

Something that cheered her up.

She sniffled again, as she was back down the hallways of Rhodes Island.

After going for a while, she saw 2 familiar figures walking towards the administrative sector of Rhodes Island.

And she recognized the hooded figure. her eyes widened, as she began to hurry his way, ignoring the drink that she had.

Well it was in thermos like bottle so it should be fine...

As the Doctor and Amiya were walking along, the Doctor suddenly felt arms around his chest and somebody squeezed against his back.

Doctor was confused and looked down at the arms before he turned to see who hugged him from behind.

And there was little Jessica, who was sniffling and holding to him, in desperate need of some comfort.

Though she was a young adult, she still needed moments like this...

Amiya giggled at the Doctor, "Awww~ has Jessica been looking for you?"

He smiled and went over to rub her head. "Jessica, come here." He soon did his best to turn around and held her in a tight and comforting hug.

She sniffled and held him tighter. He must have gotten stronger over the years, as she was straight up holding on him. Each head rub leading to cute little purrs and her feeling so much better.

"There there, if you need anything, just ask away, I'll always be here to help." He spoke in a calm manner, smiling under his mask as he continued to hug her for as long as she needed. He turned to Amiya and spoke calmly. "Go ahead Amiya, I'll catch up later."

Amiya smiled, walking away, "I will meet you at the office, Dokutah."

He understood what she said as he stayed there, being the emotional support for the feline, holding her closely.

By the end of this, Jessica truly felt much better.

Later that day however, she wanted to talk about her problems with Raythean to him.

But that's for another time.
