Columbia was alive today.

Both figuratively, and literally.

Ever since that new president got elected, Columbia's territory has expanded.

Their industries have grown.

The people have found new opportunities.

And the Companies were busy as ever working on whatever the hell they needed to make some money.

The 15 red and white stripes of Columbia was flying as well, her blue field decorated with the bladed and shattered star flying without interruption.

Carol Smith was walking around her capital, her crossbow tapping against her side.

Her blue themed business suit slinging, with the emblem of her country and her people on her lapels.

Her blue hair and feathers flowing nicely as the cars roared on past. Newsboys rushing with their arms full of newspapers. She saw some police officers working, as well as many civilians going into the stores, ready to buy the newest thing.

She just finished meeting with her government, and she was smiling as she hummed her tunes. Mostly by Monster Siren Records, but can you blame her? The music coming out of them IS GOLD in her honest opinion.

She stopped, when she felt a suddenly rumble in her chest, which made her uneasy. She didn't forget what he taught her, but there was just something's she wasn't sure about.

"What the hell is that?!" Was heard, causing her to face the person who had exclaimed that. She felt immediate concern, was it a Catastrophe? That's impossible, there was no way that such could happen here.

Not now, right?

She saw that the person was pointing up towards the sky, causing a pit to form in her stomach. She turned, ready to face the possibility of the idea that it WAS a catastrophe.

Only to be greeted by the clear blue that she was familiar with.

And a distant glow that shined brighter than any light she knew, other than the sun.

"Is the sky on fire...?" Questioned she. That is when Columbian soldiers started to run up to her, panic in their features.

"Madam Columbia!" A sergeant yelled, "You need to come with us!"

She stopped for a moment, nodding, before rushing along.

Columbia now had questions, and by god and her savior, she wanted as many answers as possible.

Kristen office door bursted open, the golden retriever rushing as she realized that it worked.

That all they have been working on was not just a pipe dream that the Union Government was feeding them.

"It worked!" She started to rush down to the floor that was controlling the entire operation.

Though it got off the launch pad, there was a problem of reaching the opening in the Fake Sky.

Where they could finally bring Astrology good faith once more. She rushed by engineering, who was up in loud cheers and partying. The Energy Department was also the same, seeing that their hard work was working.

"Dorothy would be proud..." Kristen theorized, as she continued. She caught an elevator, and began to ride it down to the ground control, who had reporters and other personnel begging questions as to what was going on.

But on the screens in the room, there was a story that was being told.

One of the screens, guided by a large platform that had an array of sensors and those laser devices, was showing what the array was doing, which was marking and highlighting the opening that could fit their rocket.

"Control!" An engineer handling the movements. There was a counter that was showing how far the bottom of the rocket was from the ground, and they all saw that it was accelerating to a ceiling.

30 kilometers in the sky was apparently where the fake sky would strike.

But not this time, as they had lasers ensuring that the opening was marked and clear. people on the ground watched through cameras, and they felt nervous seeing it get further and further away.

They were getting closer, and closer to the opening, each engineer going silent as the people controlling and handling the entire operation. Ground crews continued to guide, the map on the screen showing that the dot was desperately trying to stay perfectly in center of the opening as they got closer and closer.

Kristen looked at the Engineer, removing any forms of aggressiveness as the reporters got louder.

What would happen if they finally got something out of their world?

Would something be angry and strike them down?

"It's gone!" A reporter yelled. Outside ground crews reported that they no longer saw the flame, disappearing into the blue.

Kristen looked at the screen nervously, which showed that there was extreme snow and static. Questions began to be uttered as the ground crews tried to comprehend what was going on.

Has it claimed her creation now like it had claimed her parents long ago?

That is when one of the engineers flicked on a switch, and one of the screens calmed down.

Attaching itself to a live camera on the rocket. Kirsten took a breath once more, as the engineers cheered.

"Holy shit we made it!" One cheered, going over to the guy that was controlling the rocket. The altitude meter getting higher and higher.

The control room and the audience who was able to tune in watch as the blue sky began to fade. Kirsten's eyes sparkled with amazement as they saw the outer shell of what the fake sky really is.

They began to see the massive rings that surrounded their world, as well as the shell that appeared to cover their world.

The Rocket got up to about 30,000 just before it turned a little to the left.

And that was then the blue fully faded, and now revealed the 2 moons of Terra, and a wide expanse of color, lights, and other celestial bodies.

"L-ladies and gentlemen..." the engineer which was working on the controls got up, and looked at the screen. He began to take off his helmet and looked amazed at the beauty of the world beyond their shell. "We did it..."

Kristen had to cover her mouth, so much emotion began to flow through her. She wished that all who could was able to see that what she was dreaming of could be possible.

The Engineer turned to control once more, as the rocket booster detached and began to head back the way it entered.

And a questioned lingered, as now, the pod began to unravel itself and started to warm up all of the instruments.

"Shall we see what secrets the world has been hiding from us?"
