Dublin gave a squeal as Bucky pulled the bike against the curb in front of a beautiful house outside of the city. "I forgot how much fun this bike is." She always felt like she was flying. Hopping off the bike, Bucky held out his hand to Dublin to help her get to her feet. "Are you sure it's alright for me to be here, Doll?"

"Clint invited you."  Bucky took a deep breath and interlaced his fingers with hers. "Only because of you. I mean, I don't know any of these people and I'm pretty sure they aren't the biggest fans of me." Dubs giggled and leaned up to give his lips a quick peck. "So get to know people! Besides. Aunt May and Peter will be there. Connor and Murphy..."

"Rogers..." Dublin rolled her eyes and pulled on his hand to stop him from walking up the stairs to the front door. "Please don't do that today. This is for Lila's birthday. Let's just have a good time and not have to worry about that punk." Bucky raised his eyebrows and gave a surprised look. "What's with the animosity?"

Before Dubs could say anything, the door came flying open as Clint beamed at Dublin and Bucky. "You guys made it!" He walked over to Dubs and wrapped his arms around her in a hug, stepping back only to hold his hand out to Bucky for a friendly shake. "We're all out back. Lila's already fawning over Peter."

"You know that's her future husband, right?" Clint gave a groan. "I love your little brother, I really do, but my daughter isn't allowed to date until she's 40, and even then, that's questionable." Walking through the house, Clint led them out to the spacious backyard, party in full swing. "Welcome to the circus."

Dublin's cell phone went off in her pocket and she glanced at the caller ID. Shaking her head, she ignored it and put it back in her back pocket. "Is it important?" She looked at Bucky and smiled, shaking her head. "Nope." She leaned to him to give his cheek a kiss. "Let's get a drink."

"I'll go. You go mingle." Giving her a quick kiss, he headed inside to grab the cocktails.

Steve gave a huff as the call went straight to voicemail yet again. He knew she didn't block his number, but was trying her damndest to ignore him. Dialing the number one more time, he hoped for the best.

"Come on, Dubs..."

Hearing the door open, he looked up and saw Clint staring at him. "Still can't reach her?" Hearing the voicemail again, Steve gave a huff and slammed his phone in his pocket. "Ever since the whole Sharon situation..."

"Well, she's here." Steve's eyes went wide. "Sharon?!" Clint gave a flinch. "Why would I invite her to my kid's birthday?" Walking through the threshold and into the kitchen, Clint walked over to the fridge and pulled out two beers, handing Steve one. "Dubs is here."

Steve's eyes shot to his partner, a look of hope shining in his blue eyes. "What? Where? I need to-"

"So is Bucky. With her." Steve's jaw clenched as he took a large swig of his beer. "You invited him?" Clint gave a huff. "She was upset, okay? I had to in order for her to come. You royally fucked up, my friend." Steve rolled his eyes and headed out to the backyard.

"Uncle Steve!" Steve forced a smile as Lila launched herself into his arms. "Hey there, Hawkeye! Happy birthday!" She giggled and gingerly pointed towards Peter. "He came..."

That's when he noticed his Dubs laughing it up; her beautiful features on full display.

Dubs gave a laugh as she scooped her daughter into her arms. "Time to..." She gave a shriek as their dog Dodger came rushing over, Steve laughing as he wrapped his arms around his wife. "Ah!" She loved being wrapped in his strong embrace. "Put me down, you jerk-" Steve's lips immediately met hers, a hand going towards her still growing belly.
