"So, we are all gathered today to start the election for class officers. I do hope that two weeks of spending time with one another is enough time to decide who among you will be our class representatives. Of course we will start on the highest position... "

This is it. This is the day that we will nominate some of us to be our student leaders here in our classroom. Maliit na bagay man para sa iba, but for me this is one of the measures that can help me reach the top. As a student leader before in junior high, it helped me a lot to easily interact with people and prove my worth. Makakadagdag din kasi ito sa credentials ko. But don't get me wrong, I wanted to have a position so that I can help in my own way too. Hindi lang naman dahil sa grade, and as I mentioned above, I love interacting with people. I am introvert but if I'm surrounded by people, I can easily turn into something that my introverted side can't do. I'm an Ambivert for short.

As my teacher is writing all the positions we were going to vote for on the white board, my classmates are already thinking of the candidates they want to nominate. Some of them even formed a circle so that they can discuss it further, while I'm just here in my seat.. don't have someone to talk to.

Maybe I'll vote for the person who talks to me a lot? Tricia and Piyo are the ones interactive. But I'm afraid they might just talk nonstop and not lead the whole class effectively. Screw it. Two weeks is not enough! Bakit ba nagmamadali sila masyado? I don't even know who to nominate that is suitable to these positions. Well, I do know their names dahil ka-batch ko ang karamihan at ang iilan naman ay nanggaling ng ibang school and so maaalalahanin kasi ako sa names so I memorized them. But yeah, still this isn't fair.

".. President. Raise your hand if you want to nominate someone." Our adviser said, opening the nomination.

Hindi ko ba alam kung namamalikmata ako but I saw some of them looking and pointing at me. Are they trying to nominate me in this category? No! I don't want to! Iboto niyo na ako sa ibang positions 'wag lang 'yan huhuhu. Give me a break juseyo.

At dahil nga hindi maganda ang pakiramdam ko sa balak nila, the only way I can do to prevent that from happening is to nominate one of them. As I was going to raise my hand, someone called our adviser.

"Ma'am Reyes, I would like to nominate Aryse Gutierrez po!"

What the freaking banana chips!?

"Great choice.. " she replied and wrote my name on the board, "..anyone who wants to nominate pa?"

Great choice? Oh come on, don't tell me she knew that I lead LEU's jhs before? Kainis.

"Close the nomination na po agad, ma'am!" Someone from the back said that earn a laughter in the whole classroom, well, except for me. Hindi ako natutuwa sa nangyayari.

"I second the motion po, ma'am."

So in the end, sa ayaw at sa gusto ko, I ended up being the Class President of HUMSS A. Ma'am Reyes called me infront to say something daw because I 'won' sa nomination eh wala nga akong kalaban.

"Uh.. Honestly speaking, I didn't expect that I will be put in this position today. I want to be a student leader, yeah, but hindi sa position na ito because I know it holds a big responsibility especially in our class. But since I'm elected in this position, I will try my best to make things work. Of course, I wouldn't be able to make things happen if I don't have your support so let's team up. Wala sanang maiiwan, it would be really great if we have each other's back. Thank you po." I bowed down to give respect. Everyone then clapped, even our adviser.
