Ch 16: Sacrifice

"Where... Am I?" Ladybug asks herself breathlessly, seeing a bunch of circles with different, blurred images around her in a bright white room..

"B-Bunnix!" She stutters out, adrenaline still pumping through her veins as she realizes exactly where she is. Tears brim her eyes as she turns around angrily. "Take me back, now!" She orders, wiping away a stray tear.

"Slow down there, Ladybug." Bunnix sighs, walking towards the superhero who's shaking like a leaf. "I'm just following my orders from the future."

"No, no you don't understand!" Ladybug continues to try explaining, but the tears start pouring heavy.

"I do." Bunnix tells her sympathetically. "I know about it all, little bug."

Ladybug shakily wipes her tears away, not knowing how to feel about everything. Is Adrien okay? Is Paris okay? Will she have to raise this child all alone?

"What am I supposed to do?" Ladybug cries out, feeling like the world is crumbling around her.

"It's okay, everything is going to be okay." Bunnix tries to comfort her, "We have a plan."

Ladybug's head snaps up to look at Bunnix, her tears slowing down as she takes in what the heroine just said. "W-What's the plan?"

"You're not going to like it." Bunnix sighs.

"What is it?" She asks again, her eyes narrowing, her tone serious.

"It's going to take a bit of explaining, so calm yourself down a bit first. You have to be rational about this."

"Rational..? I'm Ladybug, I'm going to do the right thing, so tell me what the plan is!" She demands, not wanting to waste a second. "Now."

Bunnix sighs again, but slowly nods her head. "Okay, okay.." She looks at some of the images changing around them. "We don't have much time, even if it's all supposed to happen, you're right about that."

"All supposed to happen? What do you mean?" Ladybug asks.

"It means that what you are going through now, the plan I'm about to tell you, the decision you're about to make, it's all been decided before and lead to the right path. All you have to do is listen to what I say."

Marinette takes that in, slowly nodding her head at the words. 'It all leads to the right path..' She reminds herself. "What's the plan?"

Bunnix takes a deep breath, preparing herself for the worst, before saying, "First step, destroy Chat Blanc's akumatized object, get your Chat Noir back."

"And the second step?"

"...Leave."

***Adrien's P.O.V***

'What have I done?'

'What have I done?'

'What have I done?'

'What have I done?'

The question keeps repeating in his mind, his body feeling out of his control.

"Little Kitty on the roof, all alone without his lady.." He sings softly, sadly, as he stares up at the broken moon.

More images flash into his mind, images of what he saw when he opened his eyes again after a white light absorbed him.

He was not affected by his cataclysmic ball, but the rest of Paris was. Hell, the moon couldn't avoid it either.

His father, also known as Hawkmoth and the person who made him go out of control with power, turned into stone that would crumble into ash with the softest touch, along with many other Parisians, all under water. He swam through it all to find his lovely Ladybug, but still no luck. Instead, he saw Alya, Nino, Tom, Sabine, Nathalie, Gorilla, Ivan, Kim, Max, Mylene, Alix, Rose, Juleka, and so many others all turned into the same stone.
