—"(Y/N)?"—

The female's heart jerked when someone called her name. For a second she genuinely believed that she somehow summoned Jed by thinking too much about him, but when the voice resonated again she finally calmed down.

—"Jezz, you scared me for a second there, Sasha."— you sigh as you turn towards him, your eyes meeting his gray ones for a second before he looked away.

—"Sorry, you just seemed very upset."— he says as he rattles with the paper bag in his hands. —"Would you like to chill in here for a moment? It's quite 'peoplely' in the main office."—

She pauses, thinking about his proposal as she hugs her arms. (Y/N) knows that Sasha is a fan of spending his breaks in the most isolated areas of the building since loneliness brings him comfort. At first she didn't really get that, but now with how many things are going on at the same time... Yeah, she definitely could use some of this loneliness too.

—"That would be nice... Thank you so much for the offer Sasha."— you thank him, smiling with genuine gratitude.

—"No problem, I can tell you need it."— he says glancing at you with a smile before taking off something off the paper bag and offer it to you. —"Lemon muffin?"—

(Y/N) hesitates for a moment, still not used to receive gifts and kind things in general.

—"You sure?"—

—"I'd pretend there is non left if I didn't want to share."—

The girl can't help but to chuckle and eventually accepts the sweet treat, a tag embarrassed since she forgot her own lunch today due to all this exhaustion she's been experiencing lately.

The two of them eat in a comfortable silence and then began to chat about random topics, mostly about something interesting they've been doing for this week.

—"So yeah, never seen that weirdo in the white mask again."— you finish retelling your experience in the bus station.

—"Wow, so your week been quite a roller coaster."—

—"Indeed it was... I'm almost scared to see what life will offer me tomorrow, or maybe it will throw shit at me this same afternoon just because."— you sigh as your run your hands through your face. —"God, sometimes I feel like I'm some sort of unpaid and depressed main character in a crappy sitcom."—

Sasha listens to her quietly, letting her rumble and let all of her complains out until she has non left. Once the girl went silent, he begins to talk.

—"Do you like forests?"— he suddenly asks.

—"Eh?... I mean... Yeah, they're pretty. To be honest I wouldn't mind to go and hang out in one, but going alone..."—

—"I'm going into one out of the city with Bell, she really likes running around in there and maybe you could tag along to change your routine a bit."— he says casually. —"You can bring Sunny too, he enjoys car rides, does he?"—

The female blinks a couple of times at his offer, but the little enthusiastic smile that began to morph on her lips was hard to hide.

She was about to speak, but Sasha interrupted her by suddenly grabbing her by the shoulders as he looks into the distance. (Y/N) wanted to ask what's wrong, when...

—"{Jed's coming.}"— he whispers.

Her whole body stiffened.

—"{Well fuck...}"— you mutter, as you look around to see where you could hide or sneak away.

As if reading her mind, Sasha gently guides her behind him, placing her right around the corner, which made it practically impossible to see unless one looks there un propose, but of course no one would because this zone was technically a dead end.
