The experience in the forest was so nice and refreshing to (Y/N) that even after returning home she couldn't stop smiling. Sunny too enjoyed his time there judging by how cuddly and relaxed he was in the backpack.
—"We definitely should go there again one of these days, it was amazing."—
Her cat let out a lazy meow, barely staying awake.
After entering her apartment and gently placing her backpack on the ground, the girl allows her body to plop on the couch as she lets a tired yet content sigh.
The few rays of sunlight from the sunset where shining through her windows, tinting her living room with beautiful warm orange colors which only empowered the sense of serenity.
—"{Man, this is life.}"— you mutter as you close your eyes, feeling the faint warmth of the sun on your skin.
She feels a weight placed on her lap, which soon began to purr. With a soft giggle (Y/N) begins to scratch Sunny behind his ears as they both relax and enjoy this moment of pure calm.
After some time and when the sun was nearly gone, they suddenly remember that they haven't eat anything since midday!
But after such long walk around the forest (Y/N) wasn't really feeling like cooking...
—"I guess I could spoil myself today, plus I've been craving pizza for a while."— you comment as you walk towards your house phone.
To (Y/N)'s surprise, when she wanted to dile the number she realized that the device was dead silent. Quite confused, the girl quickly checks the lights by flickering the switch, only to realize that these don't work neither.
—"It better be a general shut down, I know I payed my fucking bills..."— you grumble angrily as you place the phone back. —"{Sugar honey iced tea...}"—
She didn't want to leave her home, not when it was dark, but she's too hungry and since there's no electricity in the house she can't cook anything neither... With a heavy and annoyed sigh she looks for a flashlight and then gathers the needed things to go out.
—"Sunny, I-"—
To her surprise, her cat was already inside of the backpack, meowing and looking at her expectantly. This unusual behavior kinda confused (Y/N), though her cat always preferred light, he never turned down any opportunities to stay alone in the darkness to commit whatever feline mischief he had in mind.
Despite feeling weird she couldn't deny that her cat's presence brings her some comfort. Plus, he will be a great shock factor for whatever shady stranger that dares to approach them! Or maybe not, this is New York after all...
. . .
The 'get food' operation was going smooth, kinda. At first (Y/N) wanted to go and get a pizza in a place near her building, but... Uh... After witnessing some weird black and white clown put literal shit on the walls and then grin an her creepily she suddenly felt like going somewhere else...
Luckily she managed to get something to eat in a place Sasha talked about ones, it seemed nice so she decided to give it a try. Now she has absolutely no regrets because this kebab looks and smells delicious, bet it tastes just as good!
The place is a bit far though, so it will take some good 30 minutes to come back home... But (Y/N) is positive that everything will be okay, after all the streets are still pretty filled with people. Sure nothing bad will happen, plus Sunny seems very calm and unbothered, just comfortably nestled in the backpack and looking around with curiosity.
