Aftermath (𝚎𝚍𝚍𝚜𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚕𝚍 𝙴𝚍𝚍 𝚡 𝚃𝚘𝚛𝚍)

Tom and Matt

Tord's pov

Tord watches as Edd walks out of the apartment and down the hall while closing the door behind him. Tord waits at the sofa for Edd to come back, unwilling to go see Tom.

It doesn't take too long before Tord can hear Tom yelling down the hall. He can't make out any words, but he doesn't care. He'd rather spend as much time away from his as possible, at least for now.

After a few more minutes of shouting, Edd comes back looking rather frazzled. He sits down next to Tord again and looks at him.

"I suppose Tom doesn't want to see me, then?"

Edd shakes his head, no.

"Understandable, I agree."

Edd grunts it what seems like annoyance at Tord. "I don't understand why you two can't get along. I understand now, but I feel like things wouldn't be as bad if you two weren't always at each other's throats before."

Tord scoffs and says, "well it's too late now."

"Whatever. I'm going to go draw until Matt gets back, I think he's out getting himself painted again."

Tord responds with a simple "Alright," and Edd walks off into what Tord assumes is his bedroom. Tord pulls out his laptop which he managed to fit in his hoody and starts catching up on work that he's missed out on; things like legal documents and battle plans needing to be approved of.

Some time later, around when Tord is eating lunch, Edd comes out of his room and walks over to Tord.

"Matt says he's home now, if you wanted to speak with him. I tried telling him you were here, but I don't think he remembers who you are."

"Of course.. alright, I wanted to speak with him anyways."

Edd nods his head with an "Okay," and helps Tord up and over to the door. They both head out and make their way to Matt's apartment door, Edd knocking.

Tord and Edd are greeted with a smiling Matt. "Edd! Other guy! It's great to see you!"

"How do you still not remember me.."

Edd rolls his eyes and says, "Matt this is Tord. T-o-r-d. Alright? He used to live with us."

"Uh, if you say so. Well come in! There's plenty of room among all my me's!"

Edd and Tord both look at each other before walking in. Tord laughs to himself as they are greeted with walls upon walls of paintings of Matt, and several mirrors on each wall so Matt can look at himself that way, too.

"Wow, Matt. Clearly you have some.. different interior design styles."

"Why thank you, Ted!"

Tord sighs and shakes his head. He sits down on a chair with some help and Edd and Matt both stay standing.

"So why did you two come over again? Are we going to watch insane zombie pirates?? I'll get some popcorn-!"

"No, Matt- I wanted to speak with you. Er.. possibly alone. Sorry Edd."

"Oh, sure. I'll just uh, look around? Not there's much else to see.."

Tord laughs quietly at Edd's muttering. He walks out of the room and into another part of the apartment.

"So, Matt. Are you sure you don't remember me?"

"Nope!"

"Ugh, alright.. well, I suppose I should just ask you straight up. Matt, you're not doing anything.. drastic or major here, right?"

"I don't think so. Other than making myself beautiful, of course."

Matt smirks to himself and looks at the many Matt portraits on the wall.

"Hm. Well I was going to offer you a chance to join my army when I'm able to go back. I'm sure we could use your.. unique abilities. Of course, you'd have to think about it, but that's okay. I'm not leaving for a few weeks-"

"Well, will I still be able to look at my glorious face?"

Tord sighs and says, "Yes, we'll have mirrors provided as necessary."

"Then yes!" Matt exclaims with excitement.

"Heh, wonderful." Tord smirks to himself as Matt accepts, even though he probably has no idea what they're talking about.

Edd walks in the room a few minutes later. "Hey, Tord? I'm going to the shop, would you like to come or are you staying here with Matt?"

"Er- I would come but.."

"Oh right, haha.. alright. Stay here, I'll be back by at least uhh- 17:00"

Tord nods and moves his attention back to Matt. Edd says goodbye and leaves for the shop. Tord and Matt don't really do anything together other than watch a movie, but Tord ends up working on his laptop the whole time while Matt yelps at just about everything that happens in the show. He didn't care though, soon Tord would have everything he wanted.
