I am done waiting for the target to get fulfilled. I kind of lost interest in even interacting here. The motivation is zilch.
I will just publish whenever I finish writing a chapter. I don't want any of you to wait because I don't like the blame game.
If you like to read it, please do. No request and no compulsion whatsoever.
I love my characters too much to abandon the book and my motivation to write is at an all time low to stick to a schedule.
Just being honest!! Please don't mind.
Thank you!!
Best
ManishaIn The Cab:
Roohi was on her way to the auditions and her mind was focused on how to make it till the point where she can meet Akshara. She knew that she had to give a good performance to get through the preliminary round and only then she can get to meet her. She was thinking of song options to sing, and she had no phone and no lyrics with her. She was humming songs and trying to recollect the ones she knew completely without any assistance.
After mulling over that for an hour, she figured that she had a few songs in her memory. She took a book and scribbled the lyrics in it just to be safe. Now that she was sorted on this front, she was relieved. The driver asked her more details about the venue, but Roohi was clueless. All she knew was that the auditions were for Musical Mastane and Akshara Sharma will be on the panel. She had to just go and meet her.
The driver asked again, and she was getting worked up. She was never allowed to travel on her own outside the city without a family member's presence. Sending her out with just security happened only when they were out on school or college trips. Hence, she had zero idea about Jaipur and the locations. For that matter, any location outside Udaipur was new to her. There was no way she could manage to explain him someway because she knew nothing.
She looked at the driver's phone which was an old headset with no internet access. How on earth was she supposed to get more details about the auditions? She was about to panic but she saw the paper and the cash she had put in the notebook. She saw Aradhna's number on it and thought of asking her the details randomly. She requested the driver for the phone and called her up with a lot of hope.
Aradhna didn't answer and Roohi kicked herself mentally to assume that she will pick up random numbers. She didn't have another choice. She was just hoping to get to talk to her as soon as possible.
At SVM:
Everyone was inside the technical department room, but Aradhna stayed back. She didn't want to intrude, and she knew for a fact that everyone's emotions will be at a high. She didn't want them to hold back themselves because of her presence. But for some reason she couldn't make herself leave from there. She didn't realize that she has been getting calls continuously. She looked at her phone and saw so many missed calls from a single number.
Aradhna would have blocked it immediately if not for her instinct. She felt the need to answer the call and the minute she answered the call, she knew it was something important. When she heard Roohi's voice from the other end, she sprinted towards the technical department, muted her voice and made everyone listen to the voice on the call. She was huffing and her breathing was erratic because of all the running. Neil and Abhishek tried to stay calm and hear every word correctly.
"Hello! Ms.Bansal! This is Roohi, Roohi Birla" Roohi's voice boomed in the room as people went silent looking at Aradhna as she mouthed 'Roohi' as soon as she entered the room signaling the phone.
