CHAPTER NINE

I changed to a turtleneck to hide my hickeys and bruises that Rindou marks all over my neck and breast.

I wore a long skirt, even though I remember what Rindou said about my it and wore a blazer to cover myself up. I've been naked most of the time.

After entering the bus, someone followed me. The one who's watching me. He's really obvious even though he is wearing normal clothes.

We arrived at our neighborhood and I greeted the grandmas and grandpas I saw on the way.

Facing the guy who's in charge of watching me, I stated. "Can you stop being so obvious that you're following me? My family will find you suspicious and it will be hard for me to give a reason for them."

He nodded. "I understand Miss Y/N."

I smiled and walked again when, "Sis!" My brother shouted.

"My bear!" I smiled and sat opening my arms waiting for his hug.

He ran smiling ear to ear and hugged me tightly. A tear fell from my eye and I quickly wiped it.

"What took you so long to come? You didn't even watch my game." He said pouting.

"I am sorry, sis is really busy. Instead I will buy you anyyyyything you want today. What do you want?"

"Ohh... beef? No no, it is too expensive. Just buy me shoes, fake shoes."

"Does it really look like I am broke?" I asked.

He nodded. I hold his hand and we start to walk to our house. "See for yourself, I'll buy you beef and brand new shoes. Not the fake one." I boastfully said.

"Don't be boastful sis! I know you'll be spending all your savings if you do that."

"I am not." I cupped his cheeks.

"Ahhh..." he whines and removes my hands. "I told you I am not a child anymore, don't do that. I am 10, I even won the game thinking you will support me from afar, I didn't cry even when I knew you didn't come." He said continuously.

"Really?" I hugged him. "My bear is growing so well... so mature of you to think that way." I uttered. Tears began falling from my eyes as I sniff loud enough for him to hear, I couldn't helped it.

"Are you crying sis?" He asked.

I broke the hug and smiled. "I'm just happy that you are growing so well, sis is really sorry not coming for your game." I sob.

"Did you have a hard time? You must be lonely. I'm sorry if I whine too much and ask you for toys back then. Sorry... that I'm not with you when you are having a hard time working alone to help mom while studying." He said sobbing.

Is he really a 10 year old? I also wonder.

"No, you can whine to me 'till you are 70 or more. My bear deserves it."

We wipe our tears and continue walking to our house.

"Mom! Sis is here!" My bro ran excitedly inside our house.

My mom peeks at the door and I run and hug her. "My pretty daughter, have you been well? I was really worried thinking you died somewhere and someone was using your phone." She said, hugging my head.

"Mom, I am alive. I won't die until we have a better life."

"Yeah~ you've worked so hard. But isn't your boss giving you too much?"

"What do you mean?"

"You wire me $1,000 almost every week."

I gasped. I never did that and where would I get that much money?

"I only spend a little and I save it up. So we'll have money spare just in case."

Did Rindou send money through my account?

"Oh... okay. It's better to have savings." I smiled even though I was really confused how did it happened.

"Come inside and eat, I think you work too hard and lose some weight."

I was playing with my brother when Mom sat beside me. "So, how did you convince your boss to come here? You always tell me you're busy." Mom asked.

"They will have a vacation and I choose to come home rather than to join them." I explained.

Lies.

Mom nodded. "Do they treat you well?"

I forced a nod.

Lies again.

"Then that's enough." Mom smiled.

My bro and I went to the mall to buy shoes, I'll just buy him beef later. He can't decide which shoes to buy because he picked two so I bought them both with Rindou's card. He said I can use it, then I will for my brother.

The shoes are quite expensive but it is a black card. Rindou has a lot of money to burn anyway.

We were walking out of the store when I saw my professor from law school. Prof, or Ms. Watanabe.

I greeted her and she smiled back. "Your brother?" She asked.

I replied with a nod and a wide smile.

"Can you spare me some time for a chat?" She asked.

We entered a cafe and Ms. Watanabe paid for the coffee and I thanked her. "Why did you suddenly drop out of school?" She asked.

"Uhh... I found a job that pays me well so I just focus on working."

"You won't become a lawyer anymore?"

"I guess, I won't." I sipped my ice americano.

"That's a waste of knowledge and talent. You should reconsider it and come back next semester."

I smiled at her, knowing someone cares for me even though we're not blood-related, warms my heart.

"I need to go, call me anytime you need me okay?" She said when she looked at her watch.

I nodded and smiled at her. "Take care Ms."

A week passed while I was staying at home. Just normal.

I am not scared someone will hurt me, abuse me and rape me. I experience laughing again, instead of moaning. I have lost and forgot that happiness exists. Living with Rindou cause a lot of traumas. Relief that I forgot about him for a week. Until,

Rin ♡♡ is calling...

He named himself like that on my contact list.

"Hello?"

"I am back, come to the headquarters. Can't wait to see you."

After saying his piece, he ended the call. So he came home earlier than I expected. I am coming back to hell from heaven.
