Finding comfort ~ Yang Jungwon ff

Jungwon just stands there not having a clue who the hell just embraced the vulnerable girl who he thought didn't have any friends beside him in school. 

"Who's that?" Sunoo asks Yeong-joo while going a little closer to Jungwon.  "His name is Jungwon...he's-" Yeong-joo says but gets interrupted by Jungwon "I'm her friend...who are you?" he says. "I'm her bestfriend..." Sunoo answers looking Jungwon up and down. "Nice to meet you, what's your name?" Jungwon asks ignoring the judging eyes from Sunoo. "I'm Kim Sunoo." Sunoo answers with a smile. Sunoo drags Yeong-joo inside the classroom and they sit down in their assigned seats. Jungwon also enters the classroom but starts wiping the bord and sits with some guy from her class who's gaming, Jungwon joins in on the gaming and talks with the guy. "Anyways Yeong-joo I've got so much to tell you...Do you remember that one girl? Do you know what she did, she kissed the other guy..." Sunoo starts rambling dramatically, but Yeong-joo is looking at Jungwon. Lost in thoughts about what she should say about her parents. She gets snapped back into reality when she doesn't hear Sunoo's voice anymore. She looks at him and sees him staring at her. "Were you listening to me?" Sunoo asks with one brow up, the other down. "Uh yeah you were talking about that one girl who kissed someone?" Yeong-joo says unsure with an apologetic look at Sunoo. "Okay soooo-" Sunoo starts again but interupts himself after seeing Yeong-joo. Meanwhile Yeong-joo looks back at Jungwon only to find him looking at her. She makes eyecontact and quickly diverts her eyes back to Sunoo. "Girl you're obviously not listening to me..." he says a bit annoyed. "Sorry Sunshine, I'll listen for real now okay?" Yeong-joo says now shifting her attention to Sunoo. "You ready?" Sunoo asks as confirmation. "Yeah, I'm listening." Yeong-joo says willing to listen. She thinks about what just happened for a second but then actually listens to what Sunoo has to say.

During lunch Sunoo went to talk to his sister so Yeong-joo grabbed her food in the cafetaria and took her food to the music classroom and ate there. She just watched a drama on her phone while she was eating. It was a comedy variety show. She had to laugh a lot. 

Junwon pov:

I was just sleeping in the music room when i heard someone laugh. I woke up and saw Yeong joo sitting in the corner next to the window at the back of the class eating her food and watching videos on her phone. I was lying on some chairs behind some tables at the front of the class covered under my jacket and my sweater. I wanted to say something to her but I suddenly didn't hear anything anymore so i looked up and I suddenly saw a tear rol down her face. The video on her phone still playing. Her head fell down and her hair fell in front of her face, covering it. I felt my heart become heavy not knowing what was causing this sadness for her. I got up and walked over to her. I started to hear her sniffles now. I extend my arm and embrace her startling her. But i whispered in her ear: "Don't worry it's just me.". I could feel her body relax and shake. The sniffles started turning into loud sobs. I could feel her hands tightly grabbing my arm. She turned her head and started leaning on my tummy as I was standing up and she was sitting on a chair. She had stopped crying. I just stood there with her leaning against me in my embrace for a while.

Yeong-joo pov:

I was watching the variety show and finally saw my mom in a while. At first it was funny and I had to laugh but it gradually turned into sadness as I missed her and she was saying how she loves us. Before I knew it i had tears rolling down my face. I felt like shit. All the sadness I hid under the happy personality I had been putting on came out all at once. I was trying to not cry and silence my sobs until i could feel arms around me. I was startled because I didn't know who it was but heard Jungwon's voice. I wanted to run away, not wanting him to see me like this, but at that moment I couldn't care less. I had no energy left in my legs to run away. I only had energy to cry. And cry. Until I couldn't cry anymore. Jungwon embraced me. He was the person who gave me the teddy keychain the other time!? He was the one with the scent I loved so much. I inhaled the sweet scent he has lingering around him. It made me calm. It comforted me. I stayed like that in his arms until I calmed down. 

End of pov

"You okay now?" Jungwon asks with a tiny voice, almost whispering. Yeong-joo stays silent for a few seconds. Jungwon gets to her level and looks at her. "Hm?", he puts her hair behind her ears. "I think so..." Yeong-joo says silently, still not looking at Jungwon. "Look at me..." Jungwon says cupping her cheeks. Yeong-joo slowly looks up. She has a red nose and cheeks and her eyes are swollen and red from crying. Jungwon smiles at her, he grabs her shoulders and pulls her in for a hug. Yeong-joo hugs him back and snuggles her face onto his shoulder.
