Here We Go (Chapter 1)

I sat by the window in a small coffee shop drinking my chai latte. The rain falls slowly to the concrete creating a small splash in the puddles. I rest my head on my hand and checked the time on my phone which read 10:15 am. The bell above the door rang and I looked up to see a blonde lady with who looked like her chafer. I heard her order at the counter before footsteps came louder towards me. I looked up to see the lady who was smiling. Somehow I thought I knew her.
"Adelaide, is that you?"
I looked at this blonde lady who I now began to remember.
"Lady Penelope".
I said with a hopeful expression.
She smiled and I got out of my seat to give her a hug
"Nice to finally see you again Adelaide. Oh and this is Parker, my chafer."
"Hello milady, nice to meet you. Lady Penelope has told me so much about you".
I turned to look at Penny before shaking Parkers hand and replying "I hope they weren't embarrassing ones".
We had a small giggle before the barista brung Lady Penelope and Parkers drinks over.
"So, what brings you here"? I asked before taking a sip of my chai.
"Actually, you are what has bring us here Addie. You see, I found out that you have just earned your qualification of Aerospace mechanics and physics and would like to congratulate you on that as well as asking you something top secret".
I looked at Penny with a surprised look on my face.
"Thanks Penny. I hoped that I could use it to get into thing like the Air Force or NASA but I'm not to sure yet. If I can still call you Penny or I could say Lady Penelope if you prefer."
"That's fine Adelaide. You can always call me that. Any way, about this top secret topic. Why don't we go out to the car and talk about it. Parker, can you bring the car around front? Just since it would be nice for Addie not to walk all the way."
I turned to Penelope and Parker and replied
"No, I'm alright I can walk in the rain. Don't worry, a little walking and raindrops don't hurt me, as long as that's alright."
Penelope looked to Parker and told him we would walk.
Once we arrived at the car, I had never seen anything like it. Pink with 6 wheels and lots of window.
"Wow Penny. What a car you have. I haven't even got my first car yet." I said checking it out. Not only was I Interested on the mechanics of anything that flies, but anything that involves engines was my type of thing. I like being a petrol head.
Parker opened the door to let Lady P and I in. I kindly took his offer and sat in the back seat admiring the interior.
"Okay Adelaide. Do you know of international rescue?"
I thought about what Penny asked me. Yes I knew that they were a few guys who helped save lives but that was the extent of my knowledge.
" Yes but just that they help save lives and keep the world safe."
I replied.
"Well, I work along side them as there London agent. I help them find information to missions."
I looked at Penny with interest and she kept talking about how there were 5 of them, all brothers and there Engineer by the name of Brains as well as their Grandma and friend Kayo. The eldest brother was Scott who was in charge of the team after there Dad passed. Then there was John who was apparently the one who received the emergency calls in space which I thought was pretty cool, followed by Virgil who to me sounded like my type. Lady P described him as tall, strong, and good with keeping everything calm, which made me feel like I really needed to meet him. Next was Gordon who was the one who helped in the sea. The there was the youngest named Alan who was just finishing High School as well as helping his brothers out. Brains was the engineer and Kayo was what they said as there Convert Ops expert. Then there was Grandma Tracey, who Penelope described as a loving and dotting Grandma but not quite the cook.
"Wow, I really need to meet these people."
I said to Lady Penelope.
"See Adelaide, They have been looking for someone with your expertise to help on their machinery and it just so happens that you are qualified of what they need."
"So what your saying, is that International Rescue are looking for an Aerospace Mechanic for their machinery and you thought of me being able to help them, cool".
I said with a huge smile plastered on my face.
"I have arranged with John, the second eldest and one in charge or receiving the calls in space, to see if we could head to Tracey Island to meet them and get to know one another for if you would like to help them out or just as friends go say hello. He is down from Thunderbird 5 at the moment. Only if it suits Addie, just since everyone is there".
My face still had the most ridiculous smile from ear to ear as I nodded my head to Penelope.
"Parker, to Tracey Island if that's alright".
"Of course Milady. On way to Tracey Island".
And with that, the car changed to being able to fly.
"Fab 1 Away".
And we were off too Tracey Island. Home of the Thunderbirds.

So I love the thunderbirds and after watching the new 2015 series, I decided to make this fanfic about them and of course my favourite Tracey brother😏
For those of you who have watched this series, you'll see throughout the book that I'll have bits off the show mixed back to front from how this story is, so yeah. Bits will be thrown around so yeah😁
