Meeting the Gang (Chapter 2)

We soon arrived on an island covered with trees and beautiful scenery. When we landed on the ground, Parker opened the door for Lady Penelope and I before we walked up the path to a very nice house with a sweet pool.
Penelope knocked on the door and a few seconds later, I heard a boy's voice saying "It's Lady Penelope". I stood with Penelope as the door opened, revealing a tall guy with brown hair and blue eyes.
"Hello Scott, how nice to see you. It's been awhile since we have been face to face". Said Lady Penelope as she gave Scott a small hug.
"Nice to see you too Lady Penelope and Parker. I see you have brought a guest. I'm Scott".
Scott said to me as we walked in the door.
"I'm Adelaide Claire. Nice to meet you".
I said shaking his hand.
"Come inside and I'll introduce you to the others."
Scott led us down the hall to where 5 guys were seated on soft seats and two woman. I quickly scanned everyone until my gaze caught one of the boys eyes. He was wearing a red country looking top and jeans. Lady P wasn't lying when she said he was strong. He was built a lot more muscular compared to the others and his hair was dark dark brown, pretty much black and his eyes were a light shade of brown.
"Hey everyone". Lady Penelope said as she walked with me to where the others were seated.
There were hellos and how are you's exchanged throughout the group.
"Guys, this is Adelaide Claire. Lady Penelope brought her along as she has a qualification in Aerospace and physics seeing that we needed someone to help us out as Brains had requested."
I could feel the pairs of eyes on me as I said Hello and caught a few smiles from the others.
"Adelaide, these are my Brothers. There's John,"
He said pointing at a man with a slightly muscular build and gingerish hair. I said hey before he said the next boys name.
"Gordon,"
I looked at another boy with blond hair as he waved to me with a smile so I waved back.
"Alan, who is the youngest".
I looked at the boy with the lighter blond hair and he said Hey as well as waving so I said the same back to him.
"And then there's Virgil."
I looked at Virgil who was making eye contact with me. He smiled lightly and said hello with a deeper voice then the others.
"There is also Grandma Tracey, Brains our Engineer and Kayo. Our convert ops expert".
I said hello as I went to sit down next to Penelope only three seats away from Virgil, who was already looking my way. And that's when I felt my cheeks go red. Damn Virgil, why are you so attractive.
Once everyone had a chat, I decided to walk around and properly say hello. Starting with John since he came up to me.
"So Adelaide, how are you." He said his left hand on the back of his neck. All these emergency calls he's had yet when it comes to girls besides Kayo and Penelope, he wasn't too great with words.
"I'm great thanks John. So, what's it like to be in space surrounded by stars. It's just something that has always made me wonder."
I saw nervousness drain away from his face and a bright smile appear.
"There is no feeling like it. The stars and everything out there is just so, amazing. The others enjoy stars and all but none of them like them as much as I do".
I stood there talking with John for 10'minutes before he had to leave. Before he said goodbye, he said to me that I could come up to five with him to see everything for myself and I smiled and thanked him for the offer.
Next I started talking to Kayo. She seemed pretty gutsy and cool and told me about her part of the team.
Then I made conversation with Grandma Tracy which at the end resulted in her offering me a cookie which was as black as charcoal. Penelope was sure about this. I then felt a body stand behind me and a voice quietly say to me,
"Don't eat it. Honestly, cooking is not her specialty".
I turned behind me to see Virgil standing there smiling at me. By gosh his frame was something I could drool over but that was not what I Was about to do.
"Thanks for the advice Virgil".
I said with a big smile which was so hard to control.
"Anytime". He said winking at me before heading over to the kitchen to get a drink. He offered me one though I kindly said I'm alright but thank you. I then talked to Gordon and Alan who both seemed like the most mischievous ones but I had that feeling about the 4 of them but John, not so much.
Brains was the last one I talked too and we seemed to get along really well.
Penelope then came over to me with Scott and they both mentioned If I was willing to take a few tests to become their mechanic. In a heartbeat I said yes. We ended up staying for tea that evening and eventually staying the night. Since there was only 1 other spare room which was given to Lady Penelope. Virgil offered me his bed to sleep in and he was going to sleep in the lounge with Scott since he said the same to Parker. I said to Virgil that I didn't want to feel like I was intruding and that I would sleep in the lounge but he insisted that I could stay in his room. He gave me some spare clothes which were quite big for me before he grabbed his clothing and extra blankets before saying goodnight. I thanked him and said goodnight as well. As soon as the door shut, i got changed into his clothes which was a green top which was quite baggy and a pair of shorts which were a bit smaller but we're still a little too big but I found the baggier, the more comfy.
I hopped into the bed which smelled so nice of him. I smiled like a goof before resting my head on the pillow and inhaled the scent that was Virgil's before falling asleep.
