"I never wish that the hood existed".

Virgil whispered with a sad voice while he nuzzled my neck. It really tickled and I wanted to laugh, but now wasn't the time to burst into laughter as everyone felt down in the dumps.

"It is terrible that he does exist yes, and the world would be so much better without him, but I guess we just have to accept that he is a nuisance. However, we will end his terror to this family and the world, no matter what."

I replied looking into Virgil's brown eyes.
Virgil then started to shiver. It was mid summer and it is never that cold on the island near the tropics during the winter either.

"Are you cold Virgil?"

I asked placing my hands on his shoulders. He then nodded and started coughing.

"Oh dear, seems like your coming down with a cold Virgil. I'll go get the cough syrup."

Grandma Tracy said as she left her seat and walked to the kitchen to grab the medicine.

"I'll go grab a blanket from your room."

I said to him as he slowly nodded his head. I left my seat which was sitting on Virgil's lap and walked to his room. As I went to grab a red mink blanket from his cupboard, I saw a little white box with pink ribbon hidden in the far corner. I slowly grabbed the blanket and kept my eyes on the gift as I shut the doors. I wonder what is was, A bracelet, ring, necklace? Who knows. I entered back in the seating area and walked over to Virgil. I sat in between him and brains and spread the blanket over the two of us as it was quite large. I huddled closer to him and he placed his left arm around my back and rested his hand on my left hip.

"Addie, thank god your back. Grandma Tracy was trying to give me the worlds worst tasting cough medicine."

Virgil said with a slightly now cheerful tone.

"I know it is disgusting but it does the job and if you want to get rid of this cold, you need to stop being a wuss and have it."

Grandma Tracy said in a loving and meaningful way.
Virgil then started to talk to me.

"You don't want to get sick. You should probably stay away from me, I don't want you to get sick from me."

He sighed.

"It's alright, I'll help you get better, and if that makes me sick, so be it. I love you and just because your sick, doesn't mean I will stop making a big fuss over you."

I replied with a a small but noticeable smile on my face.

"I love you Adelaide."

Virgil said hugging me closer.

"I love you too babe."

I replied, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"I'm going to give Colonel Casey a call and make sure she knows of this hood call."
