Hey Readers👋🏼
For those of you who have seen the new series of Thunderbirds are Go, you'll see that I incorporated some of the missions and life from the series in this story. There will probably be a few words that are mistaken but that's alright👍🏼
Happy Reading📚
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Scott didn't take very long to get to the area where Virgil and Gordon needed help with the rescue, thanks to the new upgrades Brains and I had done on Thunderbird 1.
I listened to Virgil's and Scott's conversation while fiddling with my hair, twisting then plaiting then unravelling over and over.
"Thunderbird 1 welcome to the party. I'm having a hard time grabbing on".
The voice of Virgil. Such a sweet voice.
"Let me give it a try".
Scott replied.
Pretty much straight away, Scott got a lock on the station.
"Yes".
The sound of relief evident in Scott's tone, also which had indicated that he had it.
"Alright!"
Scott said with a excitedly happy voice.
"Do you have to make it look so easy".
Virgil wondered.
"Lucky shot".
Scott answered in a slightly cocky type of voice.
Another sea quake then occurred which caused the sea station to lose half of its legs.
"Increasing thrust to compensate".
Scott spoke.
I was now sitting forward to listen in more on the couch as I watched their holograms which appear from their portraits.
"You need to get a grip on this thing fast thunderbird 2, or I'm going under".
My hands were now covering my mouth. The suspense of this mission was getting to me and I wasn't even there helping.
Virgil finally got a lock on the station.
"Okay I got it".
"Good job Hun" I mumbled under my breath.
Scott and Virgil both increased their thrusters which pulled the station up more and to keep themselves from going under.
"As long as we keep it stable, it should hold out long enough for Gordon to do the evac".
Virgil spoke.
"F.A.B. I just hope John can get in contact with him soon."
Scott responded.
Once they stopped talking I decided to get a drink of water. After filling the glass, I saw a photo of the 5 boys and a man who looked like there father.
"I remember taking that photo. That was taken when we first moved to this island before International Rescue evolved and just after their mothers death. The boys were only tiny wee things and in those days, I didn't have as much grey hair".
I turned around to see Grandma Tracy standing beside me.
"Wow, they were so small as kids".
I replied looking closer at the picture looking for Virgil. I then found him. The small boy with the dark hair and slim limbs, which is covered by strong muscle now.
"Yes. For 5 kids who had just had their mother leave them for ever, they certainly know how to put on a strong, happy face".
I took a sip of water before I asked a question.
"What was their mother like?"
This was the question I both wanted to ask or avoid asking.
"She was very bright. Always made sure her kids and family came first and gave them such a happy upbringing which with 5 kids, especially young boys, you would think would be unmanageable."
I seriously wondered now how their mother did it. Raised 5 humble, honest, respectful, loyal and smart boys who spend their time helping those in need around the globe. Another question I wanted to ask was about their father Jeff, though I stopped myself since I didn't want to bombard Grandma Tracy with questions about the families special loved ones who were not here anymore.
"Thanks Grandma Tracy". I said giving her a hug.
"Your most welcome Adelaide. Also thank you too for making not just Virgil happy, but the other boys. You have so many qualities that their mother had and I think they like you for that too. That you remind them of someone they loved so much and now they see you as family. I couldn't have asked for a better partner for one of my grandkids and or a granddaughter".
I smiled with a huge smile asI pulled away from the hug.
"That means a lot thanks Grandma Tracy".
I replied picking my glass up from the table.
"Im glad it does".
She replied, a smile on her face too.
I made my way back to the lounge area and sat on the couch we always sit on.
It was then that I heard that Gordon was okay and that he was going to attempt getting thunderbird 4 out of its position, which was being surrounded by rocks and In a cave. Before he did that though, Gordon insisted that he went to grab the epicentre and that he did. Whilst he was grab il it, another sea quake struck.
"Just Gordon's luck". I mumbled.
Luckily, he made it back into thunderbird 4 and managed to pull himself out of the rocks before blowing a hole in them to escape the cave. Gordon then made his way to help the others.
"Okay folks, I'm almost there".
Thank goodness he was. Again, another thing not to worry about.
"Good news thunderbird 4".
"Virgil has the sexiest voice". I thought to myself. Man, I do a lot of weird thinking.
Suddenly the station started to drop, pulling thunderbird 1 & 2 down.
"Make it quick, I'm not sure how much longer we can hold on".
Virgil said.
I then hear footsteps who's I suspected to be Kayo and Alan's, and indeed they are.
"Hey Adelaide".
Alan and Kayo both said as that sat on the other couch on my right.
"Hi Alan, Hey Kayo".
I replied.
"Leave the planet for a few hours and the whole world falls apart".
Alan said with a surprised tone.
"But at least it has TV".
Kayo replied. I silently giggled at that joke as they had gotten back from stabilising a satellite in space which then returned TV to people across the globe.
"Alright heres the plan. I'm cutting my way in from underneath. I'll evac the crew in dry-tubes. Thunderbird Five, have the group prepare for immediate evacuation. Everyone cool?"
Gordon asked before the other two responded.
"F.A.B".
Scott said.
"Works for me".
Virgil replied.
"Okay then, here we go".
Gordon said as he started his plan. I looked at the hologram on the table then looked at Scott, Virgil and Gordon's holograms and seeing the concentration painted on there faces. I crossed my toes in my Black Vans as I waited.
"Okay I'm inside. Making my way to the crew compartment".
Gordon said.
"I'm inside the control room, all hands accounted for. I'll take them out one at a time".
"Good news thunderbird 4. Better hurry, we're hanging on by a thread here".
Virgil responded.
"Ugh oh"
I thought.
In what felt like seconds Gordon replied.
"First dry-tube is away".
Not long afterwards, the second tube had gone too.
"One more to go, going back in".
Gordon said.
I sat with my elbows on my knees and my head in my hands. Gordon then spoke again.
"The lab is shifting, it's gonna flip any second".
Well, that's not good.
"The labs too heavy, it's pulling us both under".
Scott mentioned.
"Thunderbird 4, Gordon can you read me, GORDON!"
Virgil said with a worried and loud tone. Oh no. Gordon don't scare us again.
There was silence before a familiar voice spoke up.
"F.A.B thunderbird 2. My radios damaged, but we're all right. Release the cables".
Everyone sighed with relief as Gordon had replied.
Scott and Virgil both released the cables leaving the station to continue it's fall.
"Thunderbird 2, standby for retrieval".
"F.A.B thunderbird 4".
Grandma Tracy, Brains, Alan, Kayo and I all smiled.
"See you back at the ranch thunderbird 1".
It won't be long till I get to hear more of this mission once those three come home. I found it so exciting listening to the part of their missions that we don't receive over the radio.
Scott then replied.
"F.A.B."
It wasn't long before Scott, Virgil and Gordon were back home.
There were congratulations and well done comments said to the three boys as they entered the lounge area.
As Virgil walked over to where I was sitting, I got up and gave him a hug. His head buried in the crook of my neck.
"Well what do you think?"
Gordon asked.
Virgil sat on the couch where I had previously been sitting so I sat on his lap, leaning against his chest.
"I think you've found where sea junk goes to die".
Alan replied.
As Brains started talking, Virgil yawned. His chest rising with air. He then lent back into the couch and rested his right arm on the side of the couch. I grabbed his left hand and held it, a smile appeared in his face as he rested his head on my right shoulder.
"It is rather crudely made, I'll begin my analysis immediately".
Brains said.
John then appeared from his portrait.
"International rescue, I'm picking up seize mic activity like I've never seen before. Multiple earthquakes all undersea. Epicentres are equal distances apart and there going off in sequence".
"Earthquakes t-typically don't work like that. This is highly unusual".
Brains replied.
I could Virgil's chest rising and falling with his breathing, it was quite a relaxing feel. Weird, I know.
"I'm telling you it's because someone is causing them on purpose, with these things".
Gordon said as he pointed to the earthquake generator.
Virgil then leaned forward to speak making me move into a 90 degree position with him.
"Why would someone want to cause an earthquake? It's 2060, that's not the type of world we live in".
'He is so cute when he's frustrated' I thought in my mind.
"I'm afraid it might be Virgil, it was made from off the shelf compartments according to- my hexpert".
Lady Penelope mentioned as her transmission appeared.
"Hexpert?"
Scott asked in a interested tone.
Parker then appeared on the transmission and spoke too.
"That would be me sir. Quite a brisk trade for these bits of the black market, so I heard".
"In that case, they should be easy to track".
Brains replied.
"Precisely Brains, I already have. We're at the address to where much of the equipment was shipped.
This is rather alarming, there's a note here, addressed to International Rescue. It says;
Press me, and all your questions will be answered."
"Sounds dodgy to me".
Virgil said next to my ear.
"Mm. I wouldn't".
I replied as he wrapped his arms around my waist and again rests his head on my right shoulder.
"I say we press the button and deal with the consequences".
Scott said with a happy voice, swinging his arm like a country man.
"I smell a trap".
Alan said with a more serious tone.
"I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot poll".
Grandma Tracy said as she crossed her arms.
"I want answers".
Scott said.
"I'm telling ya, trap".
Alan said as he tried to make himself heard.
"Kayo, what do you think?"
John asked.
"Makes sense, Kayo is more logical than Scott and Alan".
Virgil whispered quietly in my ear so no one else heard him. I just smiled and inhaled the sweet scent of the boy beneath me.
"It defiantly looks dodgy, but, what's the worst that could happen?"
Kayo replied with a confident tone.
"My thoughts exactly".
We heard Parker say.
"Parker?!"
Lady Penelope sternly said but it was too late, Parker had pressed the button.
"This can't be good".
Virgil said holding me even closer.
"Curiosity took over Parker, and I don't think we could physically get any closer at all Virgil".
I said still whispering.
Virgil then looked and saw how tight and close he was holding me and went to release his grip, though I stopped him.
"It's alright, I like having your arms wrapped tightly around me, the safety I feel is so comforting".
I said as I cuddled back to his chest even more.
"Your so adorable Adelaide".
He said as he kissed my neck.
"And your very sexy Virgil".
I replied looking at his arms.
John then came up on the transmission.
"Global airways are being taken over. I'm running a trace but it looks like the source is being masked".
Suddenly a voice appeared and so did a body but it was to hard to see the face.
"Now that I have your attention, you have by now felt the earthquakes in the southern ocean. Those were only the beginning. There will be more, many more. And they'll be increasing in magnitude until my very reasonable terms are met. If not, every city along the ring of fire will be brought to its knees and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it, including international rescue. If you put your trust in them, you will regret it".
The transmission then ended and I looked around the room to see everyone's reaction. Virgil to me looked the most shocked compared to everyone else.
"Only one person has that much contempt for international rescue".
Virgil said, his body felt like it was filled with shock and adrenaline.
"That was him wasn't it".
Alan asked, everyone else lowered there heads with a sad expression.
"The same person responsible for Dads crash, that was the hood, he's back".
Scott spoke, his tone sounding sad, angry, and shocked at the same time.
I felt Virgil take a deep breath so I turned around on his lap leaving my legs hanging over the side of his legs and my upper right side resting against his left side of his chest.
"That guy sounds like a total whack job".
I said as I rubbed my spare hand up and down his chest.
"Yeah, he's not a nice person. I wish he would just leave us alone. He has already caused us enough grief for the rest of our lives".
He replied.
I saw the glistening in Virgil's eyes and a tear rolled down his perfect face. I wiped it away with my thumb and gave him a hug. His head buried into my neck again and it wasn't long before I felt the tears some through my top.
Virgil then pulled away from me with red eyes and a very sad face. I kissed his cheek and then went back to rubbing his chest. The others still looked sad but Virgil was the worst even though he is the calmest and strongest. Well, things just took a turn for the Tracy's.
