Finally! It’s Saturday! This week has been so long and boring. The only person though that kept me entertained was, well Erica. Every day at lunch we sat by each other, whenever there was a partner assignment we were together, if one of us had to walk home we would walk together. It was like we were inseparable and I loved it. It was around four o’clock and I told Erica I’ll come and get her at five so I had to start getting ready.

“Now what should I wear?” I stood in front of my closet door tapping my chin with my finger and scanning over all the clothes that I have in there. “Ehh wore that already…that shirt is way too small for me…those jeans don’t even match!” I stopped in the middle of my thoughts realizing that I sound like a girl trying to pick out an outfit. I looked into my closet one more time hoping that I would find something and sure enough, I did. “Perfect!” I picked out my crisp green polo shirt, a pair of light blue jean shorts, and some white tennis shoes. I set my outfit on my bed as I left out my bedroom to take a relaxing shower and finish getting ready.

OMG OMG OMG! Today’s Saturday and I get to hang out with Eric. I have been waiting for this day all week and it’s finally here. Even though I am terribly nervous, I couldn’t be any more excited to go. All week it has been perfect! We were together every day and talked on the phone for hours every night. A couple of my friends would ask me if we were dating and I would sadly have to tell them no. “I can only wish”, I whispered to myself. I looked in my mirror to see if I looked somewhat decent. I pulled my long black hair over my shoulder and started brushing it with very light strokes. “OWWW!” I screamed as I tugged through a knot in my hair. After the whole hair situation I was finally done with it and it was time for me to pick out an outfit. Me being the smart person I am, I already had my outfit picked out three days before I actually needed it. I had a flowing peach colored dress, white flats, and a diamond necklace my dad bought me for my 16th birthday. Everything was done and ready now all I had to do was wait for Eric to call and we should be on our way. I really hope today goes perfect.

I could tell I was really nervous because my hands were sweaty around the steering wheel. “Just calm down everything is going to go fine. Your clothes are nice and clean, your hair looks good, you got the perfect tan going on, dude you’re a complete package!” I smiled at myself in the review mirror and feeling a little bit better about this whole “park” thing. I looked out my window and I saw this little blue house with white shingles and a beautiful garden out front. “5892 Woodrow Drive, this must be the place!” I parked my car in front of the house and pulled my phone out so I could call Erica.

It was three rings before someone answered, “Helllooo?” her beautiful angelic voice sung into my ear. “Yeah Erica, I’m outside waiting for you.” Oh god that sounded a little creepy I hope she doesn’t take it that way. “Alright cool let me just grab my purse and I’ll be out in just a min!” with that she hung up the phone. PHEW! Relief was pouring out of me after she hung up. I walked over to the passenger side of the car and waited patiently until she came out the house. After like five minutes she finally walked through the doors and as always, she looked stunning. I had seen a six foot, rough looking guy standing behind her and giving her a kiss on the cheek. I’m assuming that’s her dad because he was giving death glares the whole time she walked to my car. “You ready to go?” her voice had distracted me. “Uhm yeah I’ve been ready…uh let’s go!” I pulled open the passenger door for her so she could get in, “Why thank you kind sir!” I nodded my head and smiled at her compliment, god she was so cute. After she got in I ran to my side of the car and opened the door but I was stopped in my tracks by her father’s voice. “Have her home by eight o’clock or else!” I swallowed a big lump in my throat and nodded at the man before getting in the car. “I have been waiting all week for this! I’m so excited!” I looked over at Erica and she was bouncing up and down like a little school girl. “Yeah me too, now let’s get this show on the road!” With that I started the engine and began driving down her street and on my way to the park.
