Safe Space

In between

In a space where not a lot of people could travel to. Zee found himself sitting in a very dark cold empty space. He tried to walk but he just found himself wandering around in the dark. He tried to shout but no voice comes out. He's cold and scared. This is not a realm that he wants to stay in.

Suddenly, he felt like he could talk again. There is a bit of a light showing above him. He can see white everywhere now. He then started to feel a presence next to him. When he turn his head to the left, he saw Nunew who is as baffled as him. He tried to walk to him but he now found himself sitting in a chair and couldnt stand up

"Nunew!" Zee shouted

Nunew looked at him and tried to stand too. But same as Zee, he found himself not being able to.

"Hia! Where are we? And why couldnt I move?!" Nunew asked him

"I dont know. But i was stuck in a cold dark place earlier. I can walk earlier but I cant now. Im stuck in this chair" Zee shouts to him as they are far from each other

"Are we dead?" Nunew asked

"No you are not dead" Nunew looked at the person who suddenly appeared beside him.

"Papa!" Nunew said as he hugs Arthit

"You're in what we call as the In between" Now it's Zee's turn to be surprised

"Pa!" Zee said as he hugs his father too.

"Wait, you're both here. That means we're in heaven" Nunew says to them

"No. Not just yet. Like what your uncle Somchai said, you are in between two realms. The living and the dead. You are not dead but your soul is currently wandering" Arthit tells him

"That's why we are here. To make sure you dont wander too much" Somchai continued

"Is that why we cant move out from this chair?" Zee asked him

"Ah. No. There is a different reason"
Somchai tells him

"And what would that be?" Nunew curiously asked

Somchai laughed at him
"Oh nunew. You're still the same curious child i know" Somchai tells him and Nunew blushed

"Son, look at your right hand" Arthit tells nunew. Nu then saw a red string. He followed where it was leading to. He then saw that the other end is attached to Zee's left hand

"Is this what i think it is?" Nunew asked

"Red string of fate" Zee unconsciouly said

"Correct. You and nunew have been connected to each other in all realms, in all universes, in each life that you get to live" Somchai said

"You two were destined to meet and fall in love. Let me tell you, that string is has never faded at all. It's one of the strongest bonds we've seen" Arthit tells him

Zee and Nunew looked at each other and smiled.

"It's also the reason why you cant move. Your bodies in the real world are separated. Your souls arent tho. So even though you can see each other, you are still tied down to your bodies" Arthit tells them

"How long will we be here papa?" Zee asked

"Long enough for us to catch up to each other. But not too long that you will miss each other" somchai teased his son

"You're seeing each other now. So that means your brothers figured out that you two need each other. It's a good thing that they never gave up" Arthit pat's Nunew's head

Nunew put his head on his father's shoulder.
"I missed you papa. I missed you so much" Nunew tells him

"I missed you too baby. You're all grown up now. I never really left you know. We were always watching all of you from up above" Arthit tells him
