It has been a weird month since Henry has arrived back to Storybrooke.
For instance, the John Doe whose been in a coma (since Aria could remember) randomly woke up. Oh also, a GIANT sink hole that just suddenly appeared in the forest outside Storybrooke. Which Henry took the ownership to search it, and therefore, got stuck inside of it.
But thanks to his heroic mother Emma, he got out without a scratch or bruise on him.
Then, the John Doe (also known as David) confessed his undying love for Mary Margret regardless that he was in a relationship with another woman. Cheater much.
Let's not forget how Mary Margret was suspected for murder but was eventually proven innocent.
Last but certainly the most important: no one remembers Blake.
Literally every person Aria has asked appeared completely clueless and confused about who she was talking about. Even the sheriff (who knows everyone) didn't know who he was, regardless of the fact how Aria met Blake at his station.
Aria felt like she was going insane and began wondering if Blake was just a creation of her imagination.
It has been a brutally chaotic month. But Aria came to a conclusion: through every event and all the chaos, Henry's birth mother always seemed to be at the center of it.
Aria doesn't mean to make assumptions about people before meeting them, but how can someone not make this connection? Everything was fine before this woman showed up out of the blue. But now everything was turned upside down.
Something in Storybrooke was happening and Aria hated not knowing what that was. But she was determined to discover the truth.
"You are doing it again."
Aria blinked and looked up from the basket of fries to Henry sitting on the other side of the booth staring at her disappointed. The two sat in the busy diner that afternoon sharing a basket of fries and two milkshakes.
Aria was babysitting Henry and they decided to go out for lunch after seeing her pantry consisted of of only cereal and expired ravioli. Henry didn't need much convincing once hearing Aria would be the one buying lunch today.
"Doing what?" Aria dropped the fry back into the basket and brushed off the salt from her fingertips.
Henry sighed. "Getting lost in your thoughts. You have been doing it a lot since I got back." Henry admitted. "Did something happen when I was gone? We always tell each other everything, Aria. You can tell me anything." His eyes softened.
Aria let out a deep breath in hesitation.
Yeah, she hasn't told Henry about Blake and truthfully isn't planning on it.
Everyone in town thinks Aria made him up and think she is going insane. A brochure to a mental support group showed up in her mail box this morning - which cannot be a coincidence.
She doesn't want Henry believing poorly of her. She doesn't want Henry to think she is going insane.
Or worse...believe that Blake is apart of his fairytale book fantasy.
"No, just another disagreement with my step-mom." Aria dropped her gaze back to the fries and Henry gave her a sad smile. "I got another late shift tonight regardless of how I was supposed to close the library. I think I have to quit from the library because I hate calling in constantly to Lucy." Aria slumped back in her seat glaring down at the greasy fries.
"But you like the library." Henry frowned.
"I also like my sanity." Aria chirped looking up at Henry. "And working two jobs and maintaining online school is driving me insane. Maybe I should drop out and search for my birth mom, eh?" She teased but Henry didn't find it funny.
