Port of Myhark. 1900hrs. 25 April, 1639
They have been given a substantial amount of time to amass a fleet to counter the expected Lourian Naval invasion. They have been given this time from the Belkan misinformation campaign against Louria, making their leaders think that their plan is going swimmingly, but in reality it's all but misinformation from Belka's counter intelligence division.
In the port, thousands of wooden ships are stationed, ready to fight against the Lourians, Admiral Pancarre was overseeing the fleet from his office.
“This-. Isn't this a magnificent sight?...” Admiral Pancarre murmured as he looked out to the sea. “But will this be even enough? Louria has over four thousand ships...how many men can I even keep alive after this...”
He breathes a heavy sigh, he knows even if their new ally bought them enough time, their naval strength won't be enough to change the tide of the war. But there was no sense in giving up early, even if he's faced with impossible odds.
“Admiral, we've just received a message from navy headquarters!” reported executive officer Breweye.
“Read it.”
“Will do, Sir.
Tonight, a single ship from the Belkan Federation will arrive at Myhark as reinforcements. They requested for an observer to join them and witness the commencement of hostilities with the Kingdom of Louria
End of message”
Silence dominates the room after the message was read.
“WHAT?! Only a single ship!!?? Are you sure there isn't some lind of mistake? Shouldn't it be ten or even a hundred at least?”
“Aye sir, there were no mistakes”
“I do appreciate the offer of support, but...they request an observer? If they only have a single ship, I'm just sending that person to the grave with them! They're cleary off their rocker. I just can't send one of my subordinates to their death!”
There was another awkward silence
“...then send me” Breweye stated
“But...”
“I am the best fighter you've got, so I've got the best chance of survival out of all pf your officers. But you forget, that monster of a ship was from Belka. Maybe they're not as crazy as you assume”
“I"m sorry... I'll leave it to you”
“YES SIR!”
-----------------------------------------------------------
Same day, later into the night.
Breweye couldn't believe his eyes. The sheer size of this ship was beyond his common sense. When they had first established contact with Belka, the reports from that day stated a ship that's over 300m long, but he thought they were just exaggerating. But now, even though the single ship was just offshore, he could tell that the size of the ship was just ridiculous. It didn't even had any sails on it. Then after a short while, he saw a metal object with something spinning on top just lifted off from the humongous ship.
He received notice of it beforehand, so he knew it was some kind of vehicle. When it got close, strong gusts of winds got kicked around. He boarded the unfathomable vehicle and was taken offshore. The seat was soft and there was almost no shaking as they flew across the air. It was slower that a wyvern, but far more comfortable and it could carry a sizable amount of people. Soon, their destination came to view. Seeing it's size up close, Breweye's jaw dropped.
