Chapter 12: "Foreign Elements"

Second Civilization, The Superpower of Mu.

It was just another sunny day, clear skies all around and great visibility especially for flying. It's that time of the year where temperatures began to slowly drop since it was already fall. Leaves rustle and fall with every gentle breeze. Technical Officer Myrus was surprised to receive an urgent call from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs telling him to go to Ainank Airport.

Mu, being a superpower had their own private airports. They could only fly the wealthy and only when the sun was bright, well for now at least. As far as he knew, private transportation by air is still limited to technologically advanced countries which also serves as proof of their status.

Technical Officer Myrus used a two wheeled vehicle with an internal combustion engine developed in Mu called a "motorcycle" to travel to Ainank Airport air force base. But why was he being urgently summoned there anyways?

Eventually he arrives at the base, it was a lively place as always. Their new Cyclone Mk.Vb and Mk.VI fighters are fielded here as they were to replace their older Marin fighters. This was a product of their aliiance with the Gra Valkan Empire.

But why would they be allied with an empire that will invade it's neighbors? Well the truth was, the Gra Valkan Empire wasn't the one who started the aggressions.

Leifor began to harass Gra Valkan fishing vessels and even executed innocent fishermen just to 'show those barbarians to stay away', Leifor going further, opened fire on more civilians vessels. Leifor even went as far as threatening to wage war on the Gra Valkans and invade their lands.

Gra Valkas did attempt diplomatic contact to have a non aggression treaty, however it went south as it resulted in the Gra Valkan diplomats getting jumped within Leifor, one of them got their eye gouged out by protecting their colleague and Leifor declared war on Gra Valkas.

With no other choice they went to war and annexed Leifor. Most of the nobility basically fled as they left the common folk to fend for themselves.

But the common folk eventually opened up to Gra Valkan governments established within Leifor as their lives became a lot easier with the different kinds of quality of life technology and infrastructure Gra Valkas introduced when they took over.

And now the inhabitants of Leifor or now known as the Gra Valkan State Leifor had a positive opinion of Gra Valkas as well as science based technologies as their opinion on their own former government plummeted for running away like cowards.

Myrus also knew that only Mu and the State of Leifor would know the truth of the conflict, as The Holy Milishial Empire covered it up with some bullshit story of the Gra Valkan Empire being an aggressive barbarian nation looking to take as much land as they can.

And being the world's leading superpower, everyone would believe the Milis. Milis being a derogatory term used by Leiforians, Gra Valkans and the Muish.

It doesn't help that the world had this closed mindset of magic being this oh so magnificent thing that shall run the world and that no other way will suffice.

Mu also experienced a bit of a harsh treatment when they were first transferred to this world.

Myrus just shook his head as he parked his motorcycle and began to walk to the main command center.

He passed a squadron of 10 parked  Leiforian aircraft being serviced by the ground crews these planes are old Gra Valkan Type 96 "Nubes" given to Leifor as a part of their own self defense force. However instead of having their original twin Type 2 7.7mm machine guns in the cowling, they were replaced with the Muish 12.5mm.
