The brown haired woman sighed as she leaned against the edge of the desk in front of her; her back aching. She'd just finished an exhausting twelve hour shift and at this point, all she could think about was how badly she wanted to get home and rest.

"Ms. Goldet?" A familiar voice asked, making her slowly raise her head from where she'd been staring down at the desk. "Why are you still on the clock? I thought your shift was supposed to end hours ago."

The person in question was a black haired girl with beautiful golden eyes and a soft smile. Though, it did little to hide her expression of concern as she continued to stare at the hotel's owner.

"Huai'an was supposed to take over for me but he's been sick since yesterday," she explained quietly, "Couldn't even get out of bed without throwing up."

"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that!" The girl replied as she went around the desk to join the woman.

"I wanted to stay with him, but then there would be no one else around to run this place. At least, not until you came in."

"You should have called me!" The girl replied, "Ms. Goldet, I would have come in sooner if I'd have known you were working this whole time. You must be exhausted." The woman just nodded, rubbing her temples in an attempt to stop her head from pounding anymore.

"Thank you, Yunjin." She replied with a weak smile, "But I knew you were busy. You had your first opera rehearsal tonight, didn't you? How did it go?"

"Very well," Yunjin replied with a grin. Her dream was to be an opera star one day and she was currently attending the University of Liyue for a degree in theater to make that happen. "But I can tell you all about that another time," the girl continued, her smile falling now as she looked back at her boss, "You should be getting home soon so you can finally sleep. Don't worry; I can handle things from here. And plus, Chongyun will be here in a few hours too."

Verr nodded, feeling more and more like a zombie every minute she continued standing there.

"Right, thanks, Yunjin." She spoke as she made her way to the back room to get her things.

"No problem. Has anything happened that I should be aware of for my shift?" The girl replied while her boss tiredly shook her head.

"We haven't had too many problems tonight. There was a man wandering around outside about an hour ago, but I think he was just lost. Other than that, we've only had a few guests come in, aside from our regular." She explained tiredly.

Yunjin smiled at the mention of their 'regular,' a name they used to refer to the boy that lived in one of the rooms on the top floor. He worked part time at the hotel too in exchange for being able to live there. To her knowledge, he didn't seem to have anywhere else to go, so she had always thought it very generous of Verr Goldet to allow him to stay.

Of course, he worked very hard too, and had always proved to be a great addition to the hotel staff, despite not talking very much.

"Right, then it should be a relatively uneventful evening." She replied as the woman picked up her purse and grabbed her car keys.

"Let's hope so." She replied with a sigh as she headed out from behind the desk. "Well, I'll see you later, Yunjin. Don't hesitate to call me if you need anything."

"Have a good night!" The girl replied, waving goodbye as her boss finally headed out the front doors.

As soon as the automatic doors had closed behind her, Verr sighed again, running a hand through her brown locks. She really needed to hire more help; nights like this were becoming all too common. She'd even had to ask Xiao to come in the last few nights when he wasn't supposed to be working, which was why he now had the night off.
