Ganyu dragged you out of the house and into the trees of the woods surrounding it, trying to be as gentle as possible despite the intensity of the situation. You kept looking back for Xiao, who was still inside with the killer, and worrying whether he was alright. You knew your boyfriend could hold his own in a fight but whoever this was seemed to have prepared for this for a long time based on the fact that they'd stolen his mask and premeditatively attacked you earlier.
Plus, he'd said they'd texted him your location when they stole your phone before, meaning they'd wanted him present too for some reason. That was something you really couldn't wrap your head around; why would they want him to come? If they were attacking you already, shouldn't it have been their last move to alert your lover and give him the information he needed to come help?
Before you could think any more about the bizarre situation, Ganyu finally came to a stop once the two of you were far enough away from her house and let go of your arm.
"I'm going to call the police now." She told you as she took out her phone to dial the number, "Keep an eye on the house to make sure the killer doesn't come out here."
You nodded, turning back to glue your eyes onto the huge estate as you tried to calm your nerves. You were safe here, you told yourself, Xiao was handling the threat inside and he was going to be just fine. As long as he kept the killer occupied, nothing could harm you here. Still, you couldn't shake the feeling that there was still more danger to come.
After all, you found it odd how the killer had suddenly switched their weapon choice when attacking you now. Before, they'd mainly used those throwing knives they popped your tire with, and yet now, they wielded an axe. Maybe they were just versatile with their weapon choice?
Finally, Ganyu put the number into her phone and pressed the call button as she leaned her back against a nearby tree for support. It was only now that she was calming down that she realized how tired she felt, not that it mattered in a life-threatening situation like this one.
As the call was ringing though, an unsettling feeling bloomed in her chest, as if the two of you weren't alone anymore.
Frowning, she was about to open her mouth to tell you about it when suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her left leg, followed by a liquid dripping down it. The call rang again as she looked down to see a knife lodged in her leg, pinning her against the tree.
Before she could even react though, another hit her left arm, making her cry out and catching your attention as your eyes widened with fear.
The killer had used throwing knives before, but weren't they supposed to be inside fighting Xiao right now? How could someone be attacking you two if that were the case?
Suddenly another knife went flying and lodged itself in your left arm as you keeled over. "Run!" Ganyu shouted through her own pain, still attached to the tree. Another knife was thrown at her, this time landing in her stomach as she sputtered. But even through it all, she still held her phone tightly as it rang.
Finally, someone picked up on the other end. "Liyue Harbor Police Department, what's your emergency?" A woman's voice questioned on the other end but before Ganyu could say anything, another knife went flying towards her head.
It smashed through her phone with such force that broken glass flew everywhere; some it even getting caught in her hair as she cried out again, blood dripping from her mouth. The now-destroyed phone fell to the floor and you finally looked up at her in horror.
"Ganyu-"
"Go!" She managed through her bloodied throat, eyes desperate. You didn't want to leave her like that but you knew if you pulled any of the knives out you might just make things worse and cause her to bleed to death anyway.
