Captain Rex knew he shouldn't fall in love with his general, but he couldn't help himself. General Skywalker was just so kind, his smile seemed to light up the room. The way he used Rex's name instead of his number made his insides go tingly.

Rex was sitting at a table with a few of the CCs that adopted him, General Skywalker and General Kenobi were also at 76's bar.

"Who are you staring at Rex'ika?" Wolffe teased,

Rex snapped his gaze away from his general, "No one,"

Fox laughed, "Oh really? Who was it!"

"I swear it's no one!" Rex lied.

"It was General Skywalker," Cody said, "Rex has a crush on him,"

Wolffe chocked on his drink,

"What! Absolutely not!" Fox cried,

"He's married," Rex sighed, "It's just a shiny crush,"

"Good!" Ponds said, "Bly's the same, you know how that turned out! Be glad it was before he painted and gave himself his name,"

Rex sighed, and put his head in his arms, "I'm aware, that's why I haven't told anyone,"

"We're here for you vod'ika," Fox replied, scooting closer to Rex. He placed an arm around him, "If you need to be transferred to another battalion if Skywalker finds out, just let me know alright?"

"Alright ori'vod," Rex muttered, then he sat up, "I'm going for a walk,"

"Be safe," Cody said,

Rex nodded and left the bar. He walked the streets before running into someone. He had jet-black hair and stunning purple eyes. Black gloves covered his hands, he had pieces of clone armor mixed in with Jedi robes. A padawan bread with a purple bead hung just below his ear,

"Sorry!" They both said at the same time.

The boy laughed,

"I'm Elmar Woods," He stuck out his hand, "19-year-old padawan,"

"Rex," Rex shook Elmar's hand, "Captain of the 501st,"

Elmar beamed, "Where are you headed?"

"The barracks," Rex replied, "Want to walk with me?"

Elmar nodded, "Lead the way pretty boy,"

Rex blushed and Elmar laughed

"So captain, which Jedi had the pleasure of working with such a pretty trooper?"

"I work under General Skywalker," Rex replied,

"Really?"

"Yeah," Rex responded, "Wait, I thought all the Jedi already knew who the 501st served under?"

"My master hates the other Jedi and refused to tell me who works with whom," Elmar explained.

"I'm so sorry!" Rex opened to doors to the barracks and then the door to his privet room, and sat on his bunk. Elmar sat beside him.

"Don't be, I wouldn't have met you unless I was under the master I am with today," Elmar replied,

Rex smiled, "It's nice to have a friend,"

Elmar laughed, "I thought you liked me more than a friend pretty boy,"

Rex blushed, "Maybe,"

"What about a date tomorrow, I'll send you the information about it later?" Elmar offered.

"I'd love that,"

"See you tomorrow pretty boy," Elmar kissed Rex's cheek before leaving his comm number in Rex's contacts and left the barracks.

Rex spent 2 hours working on data work and other paperwork he had to get done, he got interrupted by a knock on the door, Rex opened the door to find General Skywalker standing there.

"Captain,"

"Need something general?" Rex asked,

"Are you feeling alright?" General Skywalker said, "Jesse watched you leave 76's earlier than you normally do,"

"I'm fine general, just have a lot of work to do," Rex replied and then closed the door. He went back to his work when he got a message from Elmar

<Hey Pretty boy>

<Hello Elmar> Rex responded

<I need a place to stay... can I stay with you?>

<What happened?>

<My master tried to kill me>

<Yeah you can stay>

<Cool, I'm outside your window>

Rex looked out his window and laughed, there was Elmar hanging upside down. Rex got up from his desk and opened the window,

"Hey,"

"Hi! Can I have a little help?" Elmar asked,

Rex laughed and helped Elmar into the room before closing the window.

"Thanks," Elmar kissed Rex on the check, "You saved my life,"

Rex smiled, "No problem,"

Elmar looked around the room and spotted the work, "Need help?"

"No, it's fine, you should get some sleep," Rex replied,

Elmar nodded and took Rex's bunk, before falling asleep.

Rex sighed and went back to his work. An hour later he felt someone lean against his shoulders.

"Love, get some sleep," Elmar whispered, "Please,"

"I have to finish this," Rex said and stifled a yawn.

Elmar sighed and lifted the datapad from Rex's hands, "Sleep first,"

Rex opened his mouth to complain then closed it when he saw Elmar's warning gaze

"Fine," Rex stood up and removed his armor, then he lay down in his bed, Elmar joined him, leading against his chest,

"Sleep," Elmar muttered and fell asleep, Rex followed shortly after.
