Rex still sat in his panther form, Furn had taken Elmar back to the base, the two generals were still wary of Rex in his panther form, the 501st was out looking for him and all Error could do was try and keep Rex's identity a secret.

"Come on Rex... pick up," General Skywalker muttered as he tried to comm Rex for what seemed to be the hundredth time.

Rex swished his tail as he mimicked General Skywalker's pacing

"Why don't we kill this cat and be done with it!" Krell asked

"We are Jedi, Master Krell. We can't harm creatures," Skywalker reminded him.

Rex laughed, and Error tilted her helmet in a smile. Rex then got an idea, he raced around in a circle then ran to a tree, and back to Error again.

"You want to... go home?" Error wondered, Rex nodded, eager, "Umm... generals? I think the panther wants to leave now,"

General Skywalker sighed, "Then let him, we shouldn't keep him hear, not while we should be out looking for Rex,"

Rex grinned and bolted further away from the Jedi, he ran past Fives and Echo who were heading to a gorge, he jumped nimbly down and hid in a cave, before morphing back into his human self. Rex groaned in pain, he was bleeding all over his arms and legs from cuts that he'd gotten in his panther form, as he tried to stand his ankle gave out from under him, sending him back to the ground.

"Captain!" Fives yelled, "Where are you,"

"Down here!" Rex called up,

A short time later, several clones and the Jedi were all at the bottom of the gorge,

"What happened?" Kix asked, cleaning and bandaging Rex's wounds,

"I tripped," Rex lied,

Error glared at Rex, "You self-sacrificing, danger magnet, ruus kov'nyn!" She shouted

Rex flinched, "Sorry that I was trying to help!" He snapped back,

"You could have died!" Error yelled, "What would I have told the others!"

Rex snorted, "Error, I'm fine, no harm done,"

"Sir, you have a broken ankle," Kix said,

"Correction, little harm done!" Rex said,

Error sighed, then smiled, then laughed, "I'm still telling the CCs,"

Rex paled, "No! Please!"

"Too late vod'ika," Cody snorted, walking into the cave with General Kenobi beside him.

Rex groaned, "Can this day get any worse?!!!"

Sonic literally dropped in, "I got bad news and good news,"

Rex sighed, Error and Cody laughed,

"What'd I miss?" Sonic asked, then saw Rex's ankle, "Realy Rex? Again?"

Rex's ears turned red, "Shut up,"

"Anyways," Sonic said, "I just got off a call with Danger, he has something to tell us, that's the good news,"

"And the bad news?" Error asked,

"It's Elmar... he... didn't make it," Sonic said, his words said that at least, the way he fidgeted with his fingers, he knew those signs, 'Alive, undercover, say nothing,'

Rex looked shocked, "What happened?"

Krell stepped forward, "A panther attacked both my padawan and me, it aimed for my padawan first before turning onto me,"

Rex nodded,

Error looked down, "I failed to protect him, sir, I'm sorry,"

"It's alright Captain," Krell lied.

They were on their way back to Coruscant within an hour, Rex wasn't allowed to leave medbay, but Furn and Sonic kept him company, while Error was with Krell, as he "Talked to her"

"I'm worried about Error," Rex said, "Krell... isn't kind,"

"I know," Furn sighed, "Now about Elmar, I have him hidden in a crate filled with blankets, Error and I have labeled it as shadow property, we'll get him back with the troops under a clone name in no time,"

"Thank you," Rex said,

Cody walked in, "I hear you have a new crush,"

Rex blushed, "Yeah,"

"And I hear it's easier to hide who it is," Cody teased,

Rex's whole face turned red. "Shut up,"

Cody smiled, "I'm teasing Rex'ika, I'm glad that it's not Skywalker,"

Rex smiled, "Thanks Cody,"

Cody's face then dropped, "Now, WHY IN ALL THE GALIXYS DID YOU ATTACKE KRELL!"

"I-"

"SHUT UP!" Cody snapped, "YOU COULD HAVE DIED REX! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THAT WOULD AFFECT EVERYONE! SKYLER WAS SHOT A MONTH AGO!"

Rex stayed quiet as Cody yelled.

"WHAT IF YOU WERE KILLED? OR ATTACKED BY A LIGHTSABER? WHAT IF THEY HAD FOUND OUT?" Cody asked

Rex looked down, "I'm sorry,"

Cody took a deep breath at sat next to Rex, "No, I'm sorry, I yelled at you because you scared me, please, don't do that again,"

Rex nodded, leaning against Cody, "Stay?" he asked

"Of course," Cody smiled,

Rex drifted off to sleep, leaning into the warmth of Cody.
