(Willow's POV):
"GO, GO, GO!" Amaya shouted, speeding up so that she was running as fast as she possible could. I quickly sped up too, matching her speed.
"Willow! Get everyone to the top of that hill! I'll buy you some time!" She called over to me. "But- Amaya- Your dad's warning! You can't face them all by yourself! You'll die!" I cried.
"Don't worry! I have a plan!" She assured me. I took a shaky breath and nodded, praying to all the gods that she truly did have a plan and would be safe.
I rushed up the hill, towards the pine tree, ushering all the animals to follow me.
We were at the crest of the hill now, only a few more yards till we got to safety. Amaya kept glancing back, checking on our progress up the hill.
Finally, we made it to the top of the hill, where a pine tree stood tall and proud, looking down at the base of the hill.
Zada, the wolves, Ash, Luna, Oakley, and I, had made it through. However, Ember and Shadow were still outside the border, unable to get through. It was like an invisible force was pushing them away from us.
Amaya looked back at us again, seeing that Ember and Show still hadn't made it through, she continued fighting.
"Oakley! Why can't they get through?!" I shouted over to him, confused as to why they couldn't follow us.
"They are Underworld creatures, therefore they are monsters and aren't allowed to pass through the barriers into camp." He shrugged.
"Well how do we get them inside?" I inquired. "I suppose you can let them in. Just say, 'I, Willow Ellis, give you permission to enter camp'." Oakley told me.
"I, Willow Ellis, give you permission to enter camp!" I shouted.
Immediately, Ember and Shadow leapt through the barrier and into camp.
Oakley turned and began walking off, "HEY! Where in Hades do you think you're going? Amaya is still down there! We have to go get her!" I yelled at him.
"I'm going to talk to Chiron about the whole 'monsters in camp' thing. You need to figure that out on your own. I'll be back though." Oakley just ran off and I groaned in annoyance.
I saw Amaya turn and start running up the hill towards me, closely followed by the monsters.
I saw a hydra spit poison at her, hitting Amaya in the shoulder, but she kept going as if she didn't even feel it.
Only a few more yards. She could make it. She had to make it.
She unsheathed her sword and slashed at monsters who were trying to grab her. She wasn't able kill all of them though. Several of them were able to reach out and slice Amaya on her arms, legs, back, sides, and torso.
She was bleeding everywhere.
It was scaring me a lot. I didn't want her to die. I wanted to run and help her. But I was frozen in fear.
She suddenly disappeared out of thin air, which I realized was her shadow traveling away.
Amaya re-appeared just outside the border, falling onto her back.
I snapped out of my frozen state, running to my friend's aid.
I grabbed Amaya under the arms and dragged her inside the borders of camp to safety.
Her blood was everywhere. It was smeared on the grass from where I had dragged her body to safety, it was all over my hands, forearms, and clothes, and it was soaking her clothes, turning them dark red.
