Y/n is Wanda's daughter, and gets into some trouble at school

Y/N's POV

"Are you ready to go, love?". Mum walked into the kitchen where I was packing my lunch for school.

"Yeah, are we leaving now?"
"Yup, lock up when you're finished and I'll see you in the car", she bent down kissed my forehead, her red hair brushing my face.

"Can you pass the keys", as she walks towards the door a scarlet glow emitted from her hand and encased the keys that were sitting on the table. With a gentle wave the keys floated towards me and dropped into my hand.

I love having a mother with magical powers.

I finished packing my bag and ran out the door, locking it behind me and jumping in the passenger seat.

Mum dropped me off at school with a small wave and I headed through the gates just as the bell rang.

Wandas POV

I was sitting at my desk at home, our cat Chase lying lazily on my slippers, when the home phone rang.

"Hello?"
"Hi, is this Mrs Maximoff?"
"Yes"
"This is Sally, from Westview High. Your daughters gotten into a bit of trouble at school, the principals requested your attendance at the school immediately".

My stomach sank for a moment and I jumped, causing Chase to fly across to the other side of the room. "Is she okay?"

"Yes she's fine"
"Okay I'm on my way".

I grabbed my jacket that was flung over a chair and rushed a quick "Sorry", to Chase who was giving me the evils from the other couch and hurried to the school.

When I got to the office Sally directed me to a smaller office which was evidently the principals and I saw Y/n sitting sheepishly with her arms crossed in a chair opposite the principal himself.

She had a few scrapes here and there and I sat down in the seat beside her, resting my hand on her shoulder.

"Are you okay?", I asked and she just nodded her head, giving me a small smile.

"Mrs Maximoff". A guy announced, sitting on the other side of the desk. "I'm Mr Rogers".He extended his hand for me to shake and I shook it hesitantly.

Mr. Rogers continued, "Your daughter was involved in a physical altercation with another student today. It seems there was a disagreement, and things got out of hand."

As the news reached my ears I looked at Y/n, aware of the concern across my face. "Y/n? Do you want to tell me what happened?"

She shook her head, looking at me, almost embarrassed.  "It was just stupid, Mum"

"Y/n", I shot her a warning look and she sighed and glanced down at her hands.

"Sarah started saying stuff about me being unnatural and shit like that. And I just ignored her, but then she started saying...that you were a nutcase and I just didn't let that slide. It got heated, and well... here we are.".

Despite the unconventional circumstances surrounding our lives, hearing someone attack me through my daughter struck a chord.

I didn't say anything to her in front of Mr Rogers, but under the desk level I reached out and placed my hand on her knee.

"Thank you Mr Rogers, I'll be sure to put some consequences in place". I felt Y/n stiffen beside me.

"Thank you Mrs Maximoff, we understand that emotions can run high, but physical altercations are against our policies. The school will have to take appropriate disciplinary actions. Therefore, I believe it necessary that Y/n is suspended for the rest of the week"

As we left the office, I wrapped my arm around Y/n's shoulders, guiding her to car. I didn't say anything during the car ride, trying to think through my words. I was stuck between wanting to be proud of her for her courage, and wanting her to be aware of the consequences.

When we got home, I noticed Y/n nervously hanging around me, waiting.

"Mum? I'm sorry". I turned to look at her and she sat down beside me on the couch. I sighed, knowing the situation was a complicated one.

Y/N's POV

"Y/n, I appreciate that you stood up for me, but there are better ways to handle disagreements", Mum looked sad and I couldn't tell if she was sad for me, or because of me.

I nod, avoiding her eyes. "I know, Mum. It just... it got to me."

I felt a gentle hand placed on my shoulder, and I looked up at her. "I understand, love"

For a moment, a mixture of relief and gratitude washed over me. "I'm sorry", I whisper to her again, and I see a warm smile cross her face as she moves closer to me.

"I know baby". She wraps her arms around me and I rest my head on her shoulder.
"Mama?"
"Mm?"
"Wiggly Woos?", I asked her, wiggling my fingers in front of her face, causing her to laugh. She nodded her head.

"Okay". Lifting her hand up, a cloud of red vapour floated up and I could make out figures dancing in the cloud. I happily watched them dance for the next 30 minutes while I stay cuddled into my mum on the couch.

After a while she had to get up to make dinner, and I offered to help, considering how much trouble I was probably in.

"Can I go with Lillian out to the mall in Saturday", I asked her hopefully as I chopped carrots. She turned to me with a raised eyebrow.

"Little lady I love you, and I know you had good intentions, but you still started a fight with a girl".

"Technically I didn't start it. I just finished it. You could say I'm a hero".

With that an amused smile crept onto her face and I held my breath.
"Congratulations! You've just won the 'Stay-at-Home Superhero' award. Your grand prize? An all-expenses-paid vacation to your room! Consider yourself grounded, my little hero.", she swooped down and kissed me on the top of my head with a smug smile.

"Do I get room service too, or do I have to use my  magic for that?"
