Mystic Grill
[Inside the Grill, Kol is watching Meredith play pool. He walks up to her.]
Kol: A woman of your caliber ought to choose more suitable company. What's your name, love?
Meredith: None of your business.
Kol: Let's try that again. I'll start. I'm Kol.
Davina looks jaelous.
Meredith: Why don't you get lost, Kol?
Kol: And why would I do that? I like pretty little things with sharp tongues. [Kol walks towards Meredith and touches her face. She slaps his hand. Alaric walks up from behind.]
Alaric: I'm pretty sure she told you to get lost.
Kol: I'm pretty sure I don't care.
"You're acting like a creep." Said Bella and hit Kol's head.
"Ow!" Said Kol.
"You deserved it." Said Bella.
[Kol turns around and faces Alaric. Alaric stabs him with the silver dagger.]
Mikaelsons glare
Alaric: Next time, take a hint.
Woods
[Bella suddenly cries out, dies and falls to the ground. Elena runs past her and makes her escape.]
"I thought daggers didn't work on you." Said Hayley.
"They don't work, because i can siphon them, but if there isn't a dagger, i can't siphone it." Said Bella.
"I didn't know that." Said Klaus.
"Of course you didn't. I didn't want you to know." Said Bella.
Old Witch House
[Finn dies and falls to the ground.]
Esther: Something's wrong.
Mystic Grill
[Outside, Klaus gets up and puts his hand on his heart. He then looks at
Caroline.]
Caroline: What is it?
Klaus: What did you do?
Caroline: Nothing. [Klaus grabs Caroline forcefully.]
Klaus: What did you do?!
Caroline: I didn't do anything. Stop it!
Klaus: Kol! [At the back of the Grill, Alaric drags Kol into an alleyway. Stefan and Damon are waiting for him.]
Alaric: Here, grab him!
Damon: Tell your sexy doctor "Good work"! [Klaus rushes over, undaggers Kol and knocks Alaric against the wall. Stefan tries to attack Klaus but Klaus knocks him out too. Bella revives in the woods.]
Klaus: I should have killed you months ago.
Damon: Do it. It's not going to stop Esther from killing you.
Klaus: What did you say about my mother?
Damon: You didn't know I was friends with your mummy? Yeah, we have a lot in common. She hates you as much as I do.
Mikaelsons glare at him.
[Klaus is about to attack Damon when Elijah appears at the top of the stairs.]
Elijah: Leave him! We still need them, Niklaus.
Klaus: What did mother do? What did she do, Elijah? [Elijah walks down the stairs towards Damon, holding a phone.]
Elijah: You tell me where the witches are or I'll have my sister kill Elena right now. [Damon looks up at the clock tower and sees that it's 8:30.]
Damon: You told me we had until after nine.
"Yeah before you daggered Kol." Said Bella.
Elijah: I'm sure Bella will be more than happy to start her work early.
Woods
[Bella gets up from the floor and sees Elena is missing. Elena is running throughout the tunnels, trying to escape.]
Bella: You can't hide, Elena! [Elena trips and falls.]
Bella: Not sure why I'm feeling under the weather. Must be your boys trying to find a loophole. Won't matter, I could chase you down on my worst day. [Elena gets up and gets to the entrance of the cave with the Native American drawings. Bella grabs her from behind.]
Bella: Boo! [Elena headbutts her and jumps into the cave.]
Bella: You little bitch! [Bella tries to enter the cave but can't.]
Bella: What is this?
Elena: Sorry. No vampires allowed. [Elena turns on a flashlight and searches for an exit. Bella appears before her.]
Bella: I already told you, Elena. Tough act doesn't suit you. Ad somnum! [Elena lost conscious. Bella siphons barrier out and gets Elena out.]
Old Witch House
[Finn is standing in the center of the pentagram.]
Finn: They're coming, Mother!
Esther: No, it's too soon, the moon is not high enough. Go! Quickly! [Bonnie and Abby retreat into the house. Kol, Elijah, Klaus walk up.]
Esther: My sons, come forward.
Finn: Stay beside me, mother. [Esther walks onto the pentagram.]
Esther: It's okay. They can't enter. [Kol approaches the pentagram and the torches around it flare up bright. He's driven back.]
Kol: That's lovely. We're stuck out here, while the favorite son plays sacrificial lamb. How pathetic you are, Finn.
Esther: Be quiet, Kol. Your brother knows virtue you cannot even imagine.
Elijah: Whatever you think of us, killing your own children will be an atrocity.
Esther: My only regret is that I did not let you die a thousand years ago.
Klaus: Enough. All this talk is boring me. End this now, Mother, or I'll send you back to Hell.
Esther: For a thousand years, I've been forced to watch you. Felt the pain of every victim, suffered while you shed blood. Even you, Elijah, with your claim to nobility, you're no better. All of you. You're a curse on this Earth. Stretched out over generations. If you've come to plead for your life, I'm sorry, you've wasted your time.
"Is she seriously playing victim card?" Scoffed Bella.
[Meanwhile, Abby and Bonnie are walking through the house.]
Abby: This place has some serious vibe in it.
Bonnie: The witch spirits will protect us from the Originals, but we should get into the basement. [Bonnie walks down into the basement, but Abby doesn't follow. In the basement, Bonnie notices and shouts back.]
Bonnie: Abby! [Stefan appears in front of her.]
Bonnie: Stefan? What's going on?
Stefan: They took Elena. They're going to kill her unless we stop Esther.
Bonnie: Stefan, I- I can't stop her. She's channeling us!
Stefan: Bonnie, if you can't stop her. I have to find another way. [They look at each other for a while. Bonnie starts to feel afraid.]
"You know, i really pity her. She lost everything for Elena Gilbert." Said Layla.
Bonnie: No... Stefan, no. [Bonnie tries to escape but Stefan rushes over and blocks her way.]
Bonnie: What are you gonna do? Even if you kill us, Esther is channeling every witch in our ancestry, living and dead.
Stefan: Esther's drawing from the witches. The only way to cut her off is if one of you is no longer a witch. [Upstairs, Damon grabs Abby, bites his wrist and feeds her his blood.]
Damon: This will only hurt a second. [Damon kills Abby. Outside, Esther can sense something.]
Esther: No! Sisters! Do not abandon me!
Finn: Mother! [The pentagram torches flare up. Finn grabs Esther. The other brothers cower from the flames. After a moment the torches die out. Elijah, Klaus, and Kol stand around in shock. Finn and Esther are gone.]
Salvatore Boarding House
[Damon is in the bathroom washing his hands. He dries them and puts his ring back on. Stefan is in the bedroom.]
Damon: Is she safe?
Stefan: Elijah kept his word. Bella let her go.
Damon: Good. All's right in the world again. [Damon picks up his glass of whiskey.]
Stefan: I lost that coin toss, Damon. It should have been me who turned Abby. Why did you do it?
Damon: Cause I'm not blind. I see what's been going on around here. You're hanging by a thread, Stefan. Barely over your last ripper binge and all you want is to be the old Stefan again.
Stefan: Hmm. That part of me is gone for good.
Damon: Oh yeah? How long has it been since you've had a drop of human blood?
Stefan: How'd you know?
Damon: Spend 146 years with someone, you kind of start to pick up on their tells. Answer the question. How long has it been since your last drink? [Damon raises the glass to his mouth and drinks.]
Stefan: Since the night I threatened to drive Elena off the Wickery Bridge.
Damon: See? You have enough to feel guilty about! Why add to the list? By the way, you're welcome.
Stefan: You know, you're not fooling anyone either. You still love her, Damon.
Damon: I do. And I thought I could win her from you fair and square. She didn't want me. It's for the best. I'm better at being the bad guy anyway. [Damon leaves the room.]
"Well, Damon isn't absolutly terrible brother." Said Layla.
Gilbert Residence
[Elena walks into her room and picks up a letter on her bed from Elijah. She opens it and reads.]
Elijah: "Elena, today I did things I abhor to protect the one thing I value most. My family. If anyone can understand that, it's you. Your compassion is a gift, Elena. Carry it with you. As I will carry my regret. Always and forever. Elijah."
"How delusional are you? She just tried to kill your whole family just because she didn't want give blood to Nik once a month. Ok, she wanted to kill me and Nik Understandable and Finn wanted to die himself so okay, but what about you? You did nothing but help her. What about Kol? She didn't even know him and she tried to kill him. And after that you're telling her she's compassionate?" Said Bella.
"Doppelgangers have always been Elijah's weakness" said Klaus.
