Chapter 24

Salvatore Boarding House
Elena: Why did Mikael start hunting Klaus?
Bella: He always had vendeta against Nik. When Nik made his first human kill, it triggered his werewolf gene and with me becoming vampire, i could siphon myself. He found out we weren't his children and With that, Nik and i became his greatest shame.
"His greatest shame should be that he can't satisfy woman." Said Layla. Everyone laughed.
"That's exactly what i said." Laughed Bella.
Elena: Yeah. Elijah told me this part of the story.
Bella: In her mind she thought she made it right, when she put the hybrid curse on Nik to suppress his werewolf side, and then she turned her back on him. But Mikael's greatest weakness as a human was his pride. As a vampire, that was magnified. He went on a rampage and killed half the village. Then he came home and killed her.
"Make it right by taking away part of him?! What a clever idea." Said Layla sarcastically.
Elena: [stunned, whispering] Mikael killed your mother?
Bella: He said she broke his heart so he would break hers. He tore it from her chest as Nik watched.
[Flashback to just after they were turned. Klaus is standing over Esther's dead body. Her heart in his hand. He turns around and notices Bella.]
Klaus: Bella... [Bella didn't say anything, just hugged him.]
"You knew?!" Asked surprised Elijah.
"I did and i agreed with what Nik did. She watched how Mikael treated us, how he abused Nik and did nothing. Yeah, Mikael was strong viking, but he was human and Esther was powerful witch. She could stop him anytime she wanted, but the thing is, she didn't want to. She just pretended to be angel. Came to us after she let Mikael did all that. You can't say love holded her back from stopping him, because if she loved Mikael she wouldn't cheat. She was a terrible mother and she deserved everything that happened to her." Said Bella.
Bella: It's okay.
Klaus: I... I killed her. [He cried in Bella's shoulder.]
Bella: Shhh. It's okay. It's okay. Everything's gonna be okay.
Klaus: It's not. They will--They will never forgive me. [Bella grabs Klaus's face.]
Bella: They won't know. You and i came here together and we saw how Mikael murdered Esther. He was angry that she cheated on him and he killed her. Got it? [Klaus nodded and Bella hugged him again.]
"You were the one who came up with story." Said Kol. Bella nodded.
Bella: Afterwards, father took off in a rage, and the rest of my family scattered. Nik stayed, so he could help bury her. [Bella and Klaus stand side by side at the grave.]
Bella: I'm sorry she turned her back on you. I will never do that.
Elijah: [walks toward them and joins them] Nor will I.
Bella: We stick together as one. Always and forever. [Bella, Klaus, and Elijah all hold hands in a circle around the grave.]
Kol looks down, Bella holds his hand.
[Back to the Salvatore house.]
Elena: Always and forever... even though he locked your brothers in coffins for years?
Bella: We're vampires. Our emotions are heightened. Nik has no tolerance for those who disappoint him. Over a thousand years as a family we've all made that mistake at least once.
Elena: But you still love him?
Bella: He's my brother. We, Mikaelsons are like that. One day we try to kill each other, another day we would die for each other. That's how we work. But I know that when i will truly need him, he will have my back, so will Elijah and Kol. No matter what we will do and how much we fight, in the end, We stick together. Always and Forever.
Mikaelsons smile.
"I have never heard better description of Mikaelsons." Said Marcel.
Bella: You've heard the story, now it's time to go.
Elena: I'm just looking for one good reason why we shouldn't wake Mikael.
"And she gave you millions, but you don't care!" Yelled Layla.
Bella: And I've given you a thousands! But you will anyway. I know you want him to help you kill my brother, I'm not stupid.
Elena: It's no secret that I want Klaus dead. He has a hold over Stefan's life, and over mine.
Bella: Do what you need. Wake Mikael at your own peril. But make no mistake, if you come after my brother, I'll rip out your internal organs with my bare hands then strangle you with your own large intestine.  Now leave!
Klaus smiled at her.
"I love your threats." Said Kol.
"Thanks." Said Bella.
Salvatore Boarding House
[Bella is pouring herself a glass of scotch. Elena enters with photos of the cave drawings.]
Bella: I thought I told you to leave. Twice.
Elena: How do you know that Mikael killed your mother?
Bella: Nik was there. He told me.
Klaus snorted amused.
Elena: He lied to you.
Bella: And how do you know that?
Elena: The cave where you carved your family's names is covered in symbols. [she shows Bella the photos ]
Elena: The story of your family: how your parents arrived, how they made peace, the spell that turned them into vampires, and this. This is the first and last Tribrid.. It's a combination of the werewolf and the vampire symbol. And this is the one for your mother.
Bella: Her necklace.
Elena: And this is the story of her death. The hybrid killed the Original Witch. Not Mikael. Klaus.
Bella: No! No, he wouldn't.
"Holy fuck! You're incredible." Said Layla.
"Thanks, love." Said Bella.
Elena: She put the curse on him, made it so that he would be the only one of his kind, and then she rejected him. With the werewolf gene comes aggression and violence... when he turned, all of that was heightened. He killed her, Bella. And then he made up this entire lie about your father, so that he wouldn't lose you.
Bella: These mean nothing! They're just stupid drawings, done by stupid people who had no idea who my family was! [She takes the photos, tears them to pieces, and throws them into the burning fireplace.]
Elena: Then why are you so upset?
Bella: Why are you doing this to me? I've done nothing to you!
"Why is no one giving me oscar? I clearly deserve it. Look at that performance. Say one actress or actor who plays better than that." Said Bella. Klaus, Layla, Hayley, Marcel, Davina and Kol laughed.
Elena: Klaus killed your mother. He has a  on you, on me, on everyone. He has for a thousand years. We have to make it stop! [Bella grabs Elena by the throat and vamps out.]
"And i represent you Katherine 2.0." said Bella.
Bella: Shut up! Shut up! Don't talk anymore! Nothing! [She stops, calms down slightly, and lets go of Elena. She begins to gasp, falls onto her knees and starts to sob, while Elena looks at her sadly and guiltily.]
"How?" Asked Davina.
"I'm amazing like that." Said Bella and winked.
Salvatore Boarding House
[Stefan is calling Klaus, who is in the woods in Portland.]
Klaus: Portland is fantastic. Once you get over all the whiny music and healthy looking people, it is literally a breeding ground for werewolves.
Stefan: Your father is dead.
Klaus: What did you say to me?
Stefan: Oh, my mistake. Not your actual father and not dead. Mikael. Daggered. What do you want me to do with the body?
Klaus: Well, first I want you to explain to me exactly what happened. [Klaus is on the phone with Stefan in Portland.]
Klaus: I wanna see him. I want to see his rotting body for myself.
Stefan: Well, he is here. Come by whenever.

laus: If you are lying to me Stefan, your compulsion will expose you. So, answer with your life: Is what you are saying the truth? [Short flashback to Elena driving the dagger into Mikael's heart. Stefan is watching the scene.]
Stefan: It's true. I saw it with my own eyes.
"Loopholes" sighted Bella.
Klaus: I wanna talk to Bella.
Stefan: That's not a problem. She is right here. [Stefan hands over the phone to Bella.]
Bella: Hello, Klaus.
"I think i have never heard you call him Klaus." Said Hayley.
"I usually don't. That was hint." Said Bella.
Klaus: Bella, love. What's this I hear about Mikael's tragic run in with the dagger?
Bella: It's true, Klaus. He's finally out of our lives for good. I miss you. I'm miserable here. 
Klaus: I'll be home soon.
Bella: Good. I'll see you then, brother. [She hangs up the phone and turns to the others.]
Bella: He bought it. He's coming home.
Damon: Now- was that easy or what?
Elena: Let's just get this over with. [She pulls the dagger out of Mikael's chest.]
