I sat in the hospital room with Sodapop. Ponyboy, Darry, and Dallas got put in the same room. The gang isn't able to come in yet cause it was family only. I sat on the side of Dally and held his hand. I couldn't cry anymore. So I stared at his cut up face while feeling my heart break into pieces. All you could hear in the room were the beeping of the machines and Sodapop's sobbing. I looked over to Darry and he wasn't as bad as the other boys, so the doctors told us that he'd wake up soon. They weren't so sure about these two. I looked to Pony, and I couldn't look anymore. Knowing that I might loose the most important guys in my life, is the hardest thing in my life. Not even Adam raping me was this bad. One of the nurse's came into the room and gave us apologetic looks. "You guys have to leave the room for a bit, you can come with all your friends during visiting hours." She said while looking at us. I nodded my head and stood up. I kissed Dally's head and squeezed his hand quickly. I then walked to Pony and did the same. Soda said his goodbyes already and left before me. I was walking past the nurse and she stopped me. "I know your suffering greatly right now, but get food in you dear, and maybe some sleep as well." She said and let go of me going to Darry's care. I walked into the waiting room and saw Steve comforting Soda. All the boys looked at me and I looked away. I didn't want anyone's sympathy it makes me feel worse. I heard a slight whine and looked to me feet seeing Angel looking at me sadly. I lifted him into my arms and sat with him. I felt a tap on my shoulder and looked to the side to see Two-Bit with his goofy smile. I smiled back and quickly looked down to Angel seeing him following a fly around him. His head was spinning in circles. I laughed quietly as did Two-Bit. "I'm hungry wanna come to the kitchen with me? I heard it's a buffet, and it's free." He said. "Sure." I replied standing uo and handing Angel to Johnny. He smiled at me and I showed him one back. I walked with Two-Bit and he gave me a wink, I smiled and hopped onto his back. I put my head onto his back and listened to his quiet whistles.
We sat at a table and I was drinking coffee and nibbling at a piece of bacon, as Two-Bit chomped down at three separate plates. "How you doing Scil?" He asked with food in his mouth. I made a disgusted face and answered. "It hurts, and it's scary. At least Darry's gonna be okay, right?" I said and smiled, I looked down at the sleeve Of Dally's jacket and soon enough. That smiled turned to tears. I quickly covered my face with Dally's sleeves. I tried to contain my sobbing and I felt Two-Bit lift me into his arms bridal style and he started walking. I honestly couldn't bd strong anymore. Yes, I got the boys out of the truck, and yes, it seems like I'm a tough cookie. But I can't hold that act forever. Soon he stopped and put me into another person's arms. "Shhh. It's okay Scilla. They're gonna make it you hear?" It was Sodapop. He kissed my forehead and I cuddled into his body letting my cries take over.
Steve's POV
Soon enough Priscilla fell asleep as did Soda. They were both broken right now and once Two-Bit told us that he realized, right now the person they needed were each other. Angel decided to rest on my lap since I was the closest to Priscilla. A nurse came in and looked at Priscilla, she looked at us and said, "It's visiting hours. You can all go into the room." I poked Sodapop until he woke up. He was careful not to wake Scilla. "Let's go see the guys." I said simply. He held Priscilla in his arms and walked along with everyone else. Angel was trying to pull me, probably knowing who we were gonna go see. Once we got to the room Soda stopped at the doodway looking back and forth at Dally and Pony. "You alright Sodapop?" Johnny asked. "I'm tryin' to figure out if I should put her with Dally or Pony." He said still looking at the both of them. "I would say Dally, because even though her and Ponyboy love each other. Dally is her only brother and Scilla is Dally's only kid sister." Johnny said. Soda nodded his head and walked over to Dally. He said her down on the side that's by Pony so she can be with both. Scilla woke up slightly and saw Dally. She put her arm around his torso and cuddled into her brother. I put Angel on the bed with Ponyboy and he automatically cuddled with him. I sat with Darry and watched his little machine.
