2023 | loki s2 finale thoughts—skip if you don't want spoilers but i just really need to speak my thoughts
'you know what broke me?
is how loki's character was first rooted with his want: a throne. and then having to go through all these processes to understand deep within himself, that all he ever wanted in the first place, was to belong.
and when he finally had that—a purpose, his friends, to save the ones he cared about—now he had to leave them for a throne he didnt "want" but a throne that "needs" him so that everyone can be together despite the burden that comes along with it:
loneliness at the end of time—with yggdrasil, the tree of life that will forever grow infinitely so long as he rules.

Nevertheless, he conquered his fear of "being alone". It all factored down to him finally knowing his purpose and his place in the multiverse.
What's unique to him is the fact that the journey that got him there consisted of a lot of learning, reshaping and rediscovering what he wants and what he is: from being thor's shadow, an under appreciated son, to a villain, to an anti-hero, and now to a hero reaching godhood.
peak character growth right there!
loki is easily the best mcu show with the best well-written character in the franchise
and this is the culmination of 13 years of me wishing for his redemption (stanning) since 2012. i am so happy and fulfilled.
