"We are friends, trying to get to know each other better...oh and he's a friend of Jisoo's boyfriend. That's how I get to know him."

She offer that as an explanation, as if that piece of information is enough to paint the situation clearly.

"I see, cool,"

She notice a slight change in jungkook's face. Him not commenting on her response tells her that his brain is hard at work, thinking about it.

Jungkook finally opens his moth to say something but before he can get word out, a very beautiful gi approach him from behind.

"Jungkook? I can't believe that I'm bumping into you in seoul! You look good!"

Judging by the way they hug each other. It looks like they know each other very well.

"Jennie, meet Lucy. She's an old friend of mine. Jennie here is Lisa's friend. She just moved to Seoul, fresh out of college. She's now my roommate." Jungkoook tells Lucy.

"Nice to meet you, Jennie."

Lucy give her a quick once my way like she's trying to determine the threat level her pose in the competition in which jungkook is the prize. At least, that's the vibe she gives offf to her.

"You don't know how happy I am to see you! I heard that you're changed. I mean, you still look as good as ever, but I see that.you're different somehow. In a good way!"

"I'm glad to see you too."

"Hey, we should totally hang out-

The conversation seems to move along fine without Jennie, so she wiggle herself free and quietly slip away from Lucy and jungkook.

Whoever she is, it looks like they share a history together, maybe that's one of jungkook's manu ex-girlfriends? Pfft, that's none of my business....

Her eyes dart around the bat, looking for jisoo when she notice Jisung standing at the bat counter with one hand up in the air, calling out to her, she walk over to him.

"I want to tell you something. My latest creation."

Her pushes the glass of unusual cocktail across the counter towards her. She take a big gulp, thinking that it's exactly what she need right now.

"You are the inspiration behind this drink. I'm thinking of naming it after you and putting it on the regular menu."

And then ....out of nowhere...

"Hey, you made it here to join us! I heard that some rich guy bought this entire bar for his girlfriend. Cool, huh?" Namjoon seems to not notice Jisungs presence right behind him. Ins look at Jisung and she know gray he's aware of the conversation. He's smiling clearly finding it asmuming , albeit a big awkward.

"How do you end up yourself? Where's Jimin?" Jennie asked diverting the question.

"I'm actually looking for him. He was right next to me one moment and the next he just disappeared.."

And of course....who else could it be.....

"There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you! I'll damned if you're gonna ditch me for a girl tonight." Jimin say slamming his hand on namjoon's shoulder.

"Where's jungkook?" Asked Namjoon.

"He already went home. I got a text from him saying that he's calling it a night, not sure what's up with him." Jimin replied.

Noticing that something is off, Jisung gently pulls hst away and leads het to a quite cornet of the bar.

"Are you oau? Tell me how can I cheer you up."

"I'm okay, Jisung . I'm having fun."

"Do you want to dance? I have to warn you that I'm not a very good dancer thought..."

She chuckles at his admission. Jisung made it his personal mission to keep her happy, at all coast. While it's sweet, it can be pretty daunting. She feel obliged to wear a cheerful mask sometimes.

"Or, if you're ready to call it a night. I can take you home. Just let me know."

Later on....

Ahh, it's so good to be back in my room, alone. There's no other place in the whole world that I'd rather be right now.

The day has been too long. Mentally detained, she kick off her shoes before flopping down on her bed, streching out her limbs.

She stares at the ceiling, letting her mind play scenes from the day before her eyes-the fight with her parents, Husung buying a bar abd jungkook meeting his ex. Shorty afterwards, she doze off to sleep...

It is still very early to start the morning. Especially considering it's weekend. Usually, she'd take the opportunity to sleep in until a bit later to recover from the taxing workweek. But after being woken up at the break of dawn by an email from her bad, she find it impossible to go back to sleep.

Amy, the ceo, normally never emails her staff during the weekend, she respond her employees personal time, so I was really shocked to receive an email just now. My frust thought was that I messed up a big time in a big project involving one of the campanys biggest supplier....it turns out that she was actually delivering a price of good new...she's offering me a full time position at the company! She just couldn't wait for Monday to let me know.

The basic salary that is in the table would be more than enough to cover her expenses in the city comfortably; the perks and benefits will be discussed in the person on Monday. Which means, she don't have to stress out over her parents collective decision to retract their offer to help her financially during her first year in the city, she is very overjoyed.

This feels like an early Christmas present! I'll be working for a fast-growing fashion teach startup that's sustainable and socially responsible. It definitely sounds like a dream job.  I feel like celebrating this good news with a few friends tonight!

Jungkook is not home; I knocked on his door earlier. Did he spent last night with Lucy?

In the same heartbeat, Jennie mentally kick herself for even caring about that in the first place.

Well that's not my problem and I define don't care who Jungkook spends the night with.

Maybe I should go out with Jisoo. She has degi been my biggest cheerleader during all this... always believing in me and pushing me to give best in whatever I do.

Or maybe Anna? Her background in tech has made her go to girl whenever I needed advice for work...

Jimin and Namjoo are also a big part of my support system here in Seoul. I don't know how I would have survived without all of them.
