Jennie heave a sigh of disappointment. It looks like none of her friends would be available to celebrate with her tonight. Despite repeatedly telling herself not to take things personally, as her invitation comes to such a short notice, she can't help but feel a sense of rejection pulling at her heartstrings.

"Jennie, are you in there? Can we talk?"

Jungkook's voice can be heard just outside her bedroom. She's so happy to hear his voice that she immediately jump out of her bed to open the door.

"I thought you weren't home! What's up?"jennie smiles at him brightly.

"I don't know how to say this, but, uhm... I think we need to talk. You know, after the bar incident the other night. I don't know exactly what happed, but I have a feeling that we've been skirting around each other since for some reason. I want us to go back to how we were."

He's right. After that night, we haven't really talked to each other that much, other than exchanging niceties when we run into each other around the house. Granted, we were busy with work, but I have feeling that both of us are trying to avoid each other as much as possible. No I can't.

"Really? I don't sense that anything much has changed between us..."

"You don't?"

"Yup. To me, things pretty much have remained normal."

"Um Oky then that means I have nothing to worry about right? Jungkook let's put a nervous laugh and Jennie reply with what she hope is a resssuring smile.

"Look, whatever happed that night, I hope we can put it past us so we can be normal around each other again. I kinda miss that, truthfully."

"Sure, everything's cool."

"Really? Cool. I'm glad. Hey, why don't I take you out somewhere later this evening?
There's this cool pizzeria in town that I'd love to take you to. They also serve the best beer in town."

"I think I've read a review on this particular pizzeria... Yeah, I'd love to go and see for myself what the hype is all about."

"I'm sure you're gonna enjoy it. Cool. I'm going out to run some errands, but I can come back at around six to take you to the pizza place later. I'II text you when just before I head home. Okay?"

"Sound like a plan."

"Alright see you later."

Later...

Jungkook will probably be home soon. I should probably get ready.

Later...

Where is Jungkook? He was supposed to be here about an hour ago! Is he stuck in traffic or something?
Why couldn't he just text me to let me know that he's running late? That's common courtesy when you make a promise to someone.

Later...

Writhing patiently has never been her strong suit. She huff and puff as she pace back and fourth in the living room.

Later...

I'm going to text him to ask where he is.

Hey, Jungkook? Are you nearby? I'm all set to go. Just waiting for you to arrive.

A minute goes by without a response. And then airbed and another. After five full minutes, she decide to tact him again.

It's twenty past six already. Wondering if our plan this evening is still on.

The second text yields no response either. She starting to get anxious. She decide to text him one last time.

I'm dropping another message to check if you're okay. I hope nothing bad happened. Let me know if you're caught up with something, we can always postpone this.
