Capítulo 4 - "meeting new friends"

I was listening to this song with just one of my headphones in my ear, listen "lunchbox friends - Melanie Martinez"
"Bro, it's never enough!" Shark mutters
"I think we're getting there...Isn't that Granada?" I ask.
"Even though we're walking 6 minutes away, I'd say yes."
 A few minutes later, we finally arrived! The cafeteria is huge! There's a table that never ends! Everyone sat at the table, there was a boys' side and a girls' side...I was sitting on the girls' side, however, Sharkboy preferred to sit next to me.
"Come on Sharkboy! Akaiko says
"I prefer to stay next to Lava"
"He is sure?" Marcos asks
"Absolute" Shark responds
Granada takes a few steps towards our table "Well children, in order let's get ready for snack"
"How do you know what each of us likes?" Sharkboy asks
"We don't know what you like, so we prepared a little of everything!"
"I'm starving!" Marcos screams
"We understand Marcos!...So children, let's form an organized line. Girls first!" All the girls get up and form a line. I get close to Granada and call her "Granada..." I whisper in her ear.
"Yeah Lavagirl?"
"Sharkboy is my best friend, and he's not used to talking and having fun with people other than Max and me...Can he come get his snack with us?" I ask.
"Of course you can, and to be honest, I think your friendship is beautiful!...You can call him!"
"Thank you Granada!" I say excitedly.
I look at Sharkboy and yell "Shark, Granada let you come with us!"
In the blink of an eye, Sharkboy arrived and stood next to me. We went to a super large room with a kind of self-service. It had everything! I got a piece of chocolate cake, Pudding, Dulce de leche, Paçoca and to accompany it, a glass full of Toddy...Sharkboy got 2 fish fillets, a piece of cake and peach juice, then we went back to the table. Minutes later, the girls were all seated, excluding Granada "So, Sharkboy and Lavagirl, Come with your hero costumes tomorrow so we can see!" Granada suggests.
"It can leave!" I respond and look at Sharkboy "That means you're going to have to wake up early"
"Ah, don't wash it! I'm going to come in my pajamas, practical, quick and I can get up with 5 minutes to go to class" Shark grumbles.
"It won't work Sharkboy, you need to be awake before 6 o'clock, which is when we serve our coffee to the heroic people"
"I deserve!" Shark rolls his eyes
"Would you rather wake up early on earth in a barracks, or would you rather wake up late on planet Baba with Mr. Electricity chasing us?" My hair catches fire.
"No Lavinha, I prefer to stay right here" He smiles.
The heroics and we talked for a while while we ate, however, the conversation was interrupted when Granada received a message on her cell phone "Children, your parents are coming, let's go outside!" Everyone immediately runs outside "But what are we going to do?" Max asks.
"Did you guys think you'd be left out? Max's parents are here and so is James!" When Granada said that, the three of us ran out to find them...Max jumped into his parents' lap and Sharkboy hugged James, and I had to hug all 3 of them, right!
"Hi Lavagirl! How you've grown!" Max's father said.
"There's already a little girl!" His mother nudges me.
"So you make me ashamed!" I say red already.
We and the Heroic kids were talking to the adults for +/- 50 minutes, Vox calls me over to his mother, Lyra "Mommy, this is Lavagirl, my new friend! She's new, she joined today." Vox puts his arm around my waist.
"Hi Lavagirl...You're beautiful! What's your power?"
"Mommy! It's in your name!" Vox laughs.
"Okay Vox...I can manipulate Lava and resist the highest temperatures!"
"Your powers are incredible! I like you! I can tell you two will be great friends!" Lyra says
"I hope so!" I smiled.
"Ah! Mom, besides, her friends will also accompany us to the Barracks!" Vox says.
"And who are they?"
"Max, a boy who can create anything just by dreaming" I point to the bench where he and his parents are "And Sharkboy... he has part of the anatomy, hearing, agility and strength of a shark" I point to the other bench where were James and Sharkboy.
"It's a pleasure to meet you!" Lyra smiles.
The conversation is interrupted when Granada arrives and asks for everyone's attention "Well children, now that you've met and talked, I'm going to ask each family to accommodate themselves in their appropriate suite"
"It's a pleasure to meet you!" I say and leave to say goodbye to James and Max's parents.
"Bye Uncle James!" I hug him.
"Bye Lavinha!" He looks at Sharkboy "Take care of her son and your colorful friendship" He laughs
"That's it dad, we're just friends!"
"Your mother and I were friends too!"
"Good!"
"Okay...Even my prince!"
I turn around and hug Max's parents "Bye guys!"
"See you Lavagirl...See you Sharkboy!"
The three of them leave together and leave us alone, to finally go to our suite. "Until the end, silence and inner peace" Sharkboy comments
"Whoever arrives last is the frog woman!" Max screams and runs away
"It's not worth it! You got ahead!!!!" Sharkboy responds, already catching up to him.
And I'm going to do what, folks! I run to catch up with them. We arrived at the room and prepared the beds with some blankets and pillows.
There wouldn't be dinner today because the afternoon coffee had been well served... Besides, even if there was dinner we wouldn't want to go, it was very cold, 5°C! Good thing I'm pretty hot!
"Oh Lavinha!" Sharkboy calls me
"O What you what?"
"Are we going to sleep the way we slept in the afternoon? It's just that you're warm, and it's very cold."
"I knew!" I take my pillow and lie down next to Sharkboy
"That's unfair! You'll only heat him up!" Max protests
"Are you jealous? Get yourself another one! Call Marissa...She'll solve your cold!" Sharkboy says ironically
"Relax Max, I'll warm you up too!" I smiled at him
"You're a sweet person...Unlike Sharkboy!"
"Hey!"
"Shall we stop fighting and go to sleep? I don't know if you are going...but I will" I say, snuggling up "Good night"
"Wait Lava...Good night!" Sharkboy kisses me on the forehead and makes me feel embarrassed.
"Good night Shark, good night Max"
"Good Night Shark and Lava"
So we fall asleep in deep dreams, and only wake up the next day...
