Lavagirl was still in the same position she was tortured in. Attached only by her wrists to a chain on the ceiling, balancing on her toes and completely wet. She saw that the cold eyes were looking at her curiously. The woman, who must have been Sharkboy's father's age, was beautiful. Blonde hair so light that it was almost white, he had violet-blue eyes similar to Sharkboy's, his eyebrows framed them beautifully, the only part that had a stronger color were his lips with a slight shade of salmon. She wore a black tunic with burgundy ornaments, highlighting her paleness even more. She wore earrings with dragon claws and her hair was tied up in a bun, expression lines surrounded her eyes. Clear eyes stared at each other, evaluating each other. He saw her walk slowly around him. I could barely hear the noise their footsteps made, everything was silent, only Astrid's breathing was the noise in the room, no man made a peep. When he looked back at her he asked:
"How long have you been with her like this?" His voice was soft, but with an authoritative strength.
"Since early morning." Einar responded promptly.
"Did she say anything useful?" Her eyes never left Lavagirl's who stared at her with the same intensity, at least she tried. She didn't want to appear weak like she actually felt. He could see a discreet smile forming at the corner of her mouth, as if she had approved the act.
"Didn't say a word, boss."
"Hm..." he replied, holding his gaze, he saw that a sparkle passed through those eyes.
"Release her and take her to the cell. I need to talk to you about the next steps. They have already left Anitta's house" Hearing those last words made Lava react. They were coming to get it, Sharkboy was coming. He noticed that his captor laughed inside his slight hope. Her wrists were grabbed as they released her. The blood returned to his hands, which were completely numb after hours in that position.
"She's very weak, you don't need to put her in chains. Just lock the cell tightly" Said the woman, whose name Lavagirl didn't know, turned and went back up the stairs. If the men hadn't been by his side, he knew he would have collapsed to the ground in front of their leader. He felt one of them carrying him like a child. She felt weak, her legs were wobbly, her blood had made a trail down her arm, the result of her wrists opening wounds. I was shaking from the cold.
"Sharkboy, please come quickly." They threw her on the floor of her cell, she cowered as they locked her. Einar arrived moments later accompanied by the subordinate who had carried her. He threw a bowl of oatmeal onto the floor. She was hungry, but she didn't know if she would be able to swallow it. She saw that he crouched down so she could look at him, that unbearable smile was still on his face. He looked at her with disdain
"Everything is going as it should, you know? Your little girl came running to try to rescue her, too bad that's part of our plan, princess. We'll be waiting for him and we'll make him say everything you didn't say. We have just the weak point of the heroic man known for his strength: You" He chuckled softly.
She didn't answer him, she just wanted him to go away. I knew I was playing with her, she wasn't stupid. "I was told to give you this gift, to see if you can remember anything"
He threw him some notebooks, Sharkboy's ones that
They were stolen, but they weren't all there. "Know that we will find out where you are hiding, I think you better start opening the
mouth, when your husband arrives it will be much worse" He left, followed by the man. She dragged herself and took the first notebook, began to leaf through it. She hadn't let all the pain and despair take over her until now, she began to cry He held the small notebook under his chest, as if he could hug his shark, crying until he fell asleep.
°Meanwhile°
Sharkboy was staring at the compass in his hand. They had already started sailing hours ago and had no news of the ships that had taken her. I was nervous, I couldn't stop thinking about what could be happening to her. He was on the ship accompanied by Marcos, Anitta, Vox, Max, Fenômeno and Marissa. Other ships from the barracks accompanied his. Almost the entire barracks came to fight to have their best heroics back. Lavagirl was loved by everyone, she would be proud of her friends, everyone didn't stop training for the big fight they imagined they would have ahead.
Sharkboy felt a hand on his shoulder, turning around, expecting it to be Anitta, he was surprised by her Phenomenon. He grabbed his hand and pulled him
for a hug. They both needed this, he promptly responded to her affection.
"We'll find her, I promise you that!" He said to Sharkboy
"I know Phenomenon, but I'm afraid"
"You said yourself that she's a strong woman, she's not in the best state. But she's still the Lavagirl we've always known" Phenomenon tries to console his friend "Yes, I just hope we don't have a loss we don't even know about yet"
"What do you mean? We're not going to lose her, I'm not going to let that happen" Sharkboy responds
"That's not Lava I'm talking about, Shark." He hugs him "On the one hand I want my instinct to be wrong, but on the other I really want it to be true" Sharkboy didn't understand anything he had
just happened. But he couldn't think much about it, a hawk was arriving at the boat, heading towards Marcos. The bird gracefully landed on his friend's arm.
"Did he find anything, Marcos?"
"If he came back that quickly, I believe so, he came from that direction. I believe we should follow his trajectory" Max concludes
"Can we trust him?" Marissa asks Max
"Well, I've been training them for a short time, but it's been effective" Anitta comments
"It's our best chance. Head northwest!" shouted Sharkboy. All ships turned in the direction he ordered. Determination was the word for all the Heroes on that crew. If it's war they want, that's what they'll get."

Lavagirl was leafing through one of her notebooks, huddled in the corner of her cell. The plate of porridge was half full, she had tried to swallow the mess, but she couldn't get much down. A day had passed and he managed to take a few naps, but nothing more than that, his nausea had improved too, he thought he was getting used to the rocking of the sea. Good thing they gave her something to distract herself, her Sharkboy was extremely methodical. I wrote down all the details, from the most complex problems to the silliest, like, for example, whether they should clean their rooms in the first week or the second week of spring, what was the difference? She thought with a slight smile on her face. He stopped leafing through when he found a page with a drawing of the two of them. He was a great artist, always has been, since he was little. She remembered how Sharkboy was when she was ten years old, he loved helping her when she and the others fought and knocked each other down, she wished she had been much better friends with him back then. She knew he only had her and Max for a long time. If they had turned to her and said that she was married to him and totally in love, she would have punched anyone who dared to say such a thing in the face. How she had changed over the years. She took another notebook, when she pulled it out she saw that her notebook was hidden by what she had just pulled out. She didn't write down as many things as he did, she was never the most organized in that sense. He wrote down things that she couldn't forget, like dates, meetings, rounds, nothing
more. He realized how boring your notebook was compared to his. But she flipped through it and stopped at a date that made her heart skip a beat, did it mean what she thought it meant?
He began to hear footsteps heading towards him. She cowered again, waiting for Einar, what were they going to do with her now? But the one who appeared in his field of vision was the woman from yesterday. She was wearing clothes similar to those of the previous day, her hair was braided forming almost the same bun, her face was serious and cold, she wore a shark necklace, a very familiar necklace and she was not accompanied by anyone. She walked slenderly down the corridor and stopped in front of the bars at the edge of her cell. Lavagirl continued to sit, still very weak from the day before. But he looked at the woman with his head raised. He saw that she assessed the place with eagle eyes.
"Is the food not to your liking?" He asked looking at the half-eaten plate.
"I'm not hungry" he replied as best he could
"Don't be silly" She cut her off. "I'll have something different prepared for you"
"Why are you treating me like this? I'm your prisoner"
He saw her smile, her posture didn't change. She continued with her arms behind her completely erect.
"I know very well who you are and your position, Lavagirl"
"First, you stop my torture, give me the notebooks and then you want to give me something better to eat. What do you want with that?"
The woman laughed in her throat, as if the answer was very obvious.
"What is your name?"
"It does not matter"
"I wish I could at least call her something other than a pale woman"
"Pale woman, I liked it" He said indifferently to the comment.
"You know Lavagirl, the fame of the Heroics is strong. What you did in recent years was completely arbitrary. But there is something much bigger than enjoying your work" He looked at the girl sitting in the corner of his cell. She was haggard, deep circles under her eyes, disheveled hair, she looked like a little girl.
"Strange to think that this generation with this potential is being governed by you and your friend. If you were born with him, you are 20 years old, right?" She holds onto her shark necklace "Sharkboy has always been a bit wild, I really admire that I conquered him. He is capable of killing and dying for you"
"Do you know him?" Lavagirl asks
"He did more than all generations of heroes together. He changed his worldview, his view of his enemies. They fight side by side for something much bigger"
"What do you want, we don't look for trouble with you!"
"Lavagirl, let's be realistic, we lived peacefully, I never had any problems with Anitta, I admired her until you arrived, it's a shame I didn't know how to keep my hand steady so you could learn not to mess with things that are quiet. Anitta realized that it was her destiny to improve this generation . She admired her students, she fought alongside you to stop our plans. She was a great leader and knew it was time for change. You know, I think this fantasy that you heroic people created around these new powers is beautiful. Do you believe that you are unbeatable together, but every generation must know that there are enemies that you have never defeated. And that's all we want to know, if you tell me what happened, where you went, I'll take you to your friend, and we'll leave only you in peace. No hard feelings."
Lavagirl remained silent, she wouldn't betray her friends, no matter how much she wanted to go home. As much as she now knew she needed to go home.
"You were as smart as your mother, she was too naive, but a warrior, she was the best of her generation"
"My mother? I don't have one! My origin is a mystery that haunts me every morning when I wake up" a little red liquid comes out of her eyes if it were her tears
"Your mother disappeared in combat, but she knew something would happen, so she left you on planet Baba, to protect you! You look like her in many ways" She gives him a photo of you with Lavagirl's mother
"What was her name?" Lavagirl asks emotionally
"Angel Lavagirl..." She answers her
"Could she be alive?"
"Let's be realistic, she disappeared more than 20 years ago, there's no way...But there's still a small probability. Her mother was fearless, stubborn, nothing scared her" With that answer, Lavagirl keeps the photograph and a few more flow out of it. tears "Your fame haunts you, you know? They say they have never seen a warrior like you, they said that the strong points of the Heroics were their powers and the flaming girl who accompanied them, whose incandescence shines brighter than the Sun, seems like the others they were always supporting characters in the stories, but not you. I suppose that's why he chose you to be his companion. Although, from the notebooks, he seems to like you well"
"He would never approach me out of interest"
"Don't be naive. That kind of thing doesn't exist, not from a man, but maybe his feeling is real... I wasn't used to seeing him with that affection for someone"
"What happened to you? A man dumped you?" He saw a sparkle appear in those clear eyes. Lava knew he had stepped on a wound.
"I'm sure Shark loves me, so much so, that he's coming to get me. If yours left her, I'm sorry, but not all men are the same."
"Do you believe that Sharkboy has any
chance? You really are a girl" He said and, for the first time since they started talking,
the woman moved to pinch the part of her nose
between the eyes, as if it wasn't there
believing what I was hearing.
"Lavagirl, Lavagirl, I thought you were smarter. I'm trying to help you, I don't like hurting a woman, especially a warrior like you. But, if you want to continue this
little game, I'm going to have to ask Einar to take care of you" He looked at her and saw that the girl was hard at the suggestion.
"Think about it, I'll have another meal served for you." The pale woman walked down the hall and disappeared moments later. Lavagirl looked back at the date she had written down in her notebook, this couldn't be happening, not now.
