When he was down lecturing me, we drove to his house so he can grab his phone, computer, and charger. Also so he can shower. While he was showering, I laid on my bed and watched reruns of the Brady Bunch.
My phone started ringing and I flipped over to get it. One look at the caller I.D., I ignored it. Good let him wait. I waited all these years, he can wait an hour.
Shawn came out of the shower, and threw on jeans and a button up shirt. He pulled up his sleeves to his elbow and then grabbed his duffel bag. "Come on Amie!" I groaned, but then got up and crutched to the car.
When I got inside, I prepared myself for seeing him. I haven't seen him in three years, and now he wanted to see me? I don't think so. The ride felt too short, and I sighed opening the door. Shawn looked at me worriedly, and kissed my forehead. "I'm right here with you Shortie."
I crutched my way to the door while Shawn carried the duffel bags. Sadly to say, I had to bring clothes home. None of my stuff was left here. When I knocked, the door was opened by a smaller boy.
He had brown hair that went to just past the beginning of his forehead, and brown eyes. He was wearing a baseball jersey and had baseball pants on. He looked at me confusingly, before someone shouted to open the door.
He let us in and I crutched myself inside and started going to my old room. "Where are you going?" The boy asked me. "Uh, to my, my room?" He didn't say anything else, just walked off to the kitchen.
We walked to my room and the door was shut. I knocked and a boy about my age opened the door. "May I help you?" He said in an amazingly cute Australian accent.
"What are you doing in my room?" I asked him, Shawn shifted next to me. "Your room?" I nodded, then I pushed past him and saw he had two large duffle bags on my bed. The room was cluttered with boxes and garbage bags.
"Get out." I said to him, his eyebrows shot up. "Um no. Tim said I can have this room while my cousin gets the other girly room." I jumped off my bed so fast and I almost fell, if it wasn't for Shawn to grab me.
"Thanks," I mumbled. I grabbed my crutches and then walked out to the living room. "Timothy!" I called, waiting in the living room. My dad came walking inside the living room and he stopped after he saw me. "Don't you mean dad? Father? Daddy?"
I shook my head. "Only real fathers get those titles." I narrowed my eyes at him, and I suddenly felt Shawn next to me. "Mr. Thompson." He said in a cold voice. "Shawn." Then he turned to me and said, "Jamie you are to respect me. I am your father you will learn to respect me even if it is against your will."
I scoffed and Shawn's body tensed. "You lost that respect when you made me an anorexic!" I screamed, Shawn looked at me worriedly and then back to my dad. "Do not talk about me like that in my house." My dad said sternly. I shook my head and looked at him. "I will not be ordered around by a man who doesn't even know my middle name." I challenged.
Shawn sat down next to me and huffed. My dad looked at me and mumbled under his breath "Angelina." Shawn looked at him and raised his eyebrows. "Can you repeat that?" My dad raised his head, "your middle name is Angelina."
Shawn stood up and was face to face with my dad. "You don't deserve Jamie. You don't deserve to have her as a daughter. You don't even deserve to look at her! You put her through everything! Is she still not perfect?! Are you going to lock the cabinets again? Get drunk and abuse her?"
My dad looked at Shawn and then walked out the house. I looked at Shawn and he walked over to me. He sat down and hugged me while I sat there and cried.
So.... secrets were spilled!! ooh!!!
Who do you think those boys are? how about the other girly room? where do you think the dad went? where do you think the dad was during all those times?
so the banner above is of everyone in the cast, some still aren't reveled. the little boy that opened the door, I have my cousin portraying him so I can't put a picture of him online. I'll try to describe him as much as I can during the book.
